Hayden Panettiere’s Heartbreaking Final Moments Revealed in Police Report

New details are emerging about Hayden Panettiere’s final moments following the actress’ death at 36.

A newly released police report from the Greenville Police Department provides a closer look at what happened after officers arrived at Judson Mill Lofts in Greenville, South Carolina, on Sunday afternoon to assist with an unresponsive person.

According to the report obtained by NBC News, officers arrived to find multiple emergency medical personnel and firefighters performing CPR on Panettiere.

The actress did not appear to have any visible physical injuries that would explain why she was unresponsive.

Her Boyfriend and His Brother Were With Her in the Final Moments

Two men were also at the apartment when officers arrived. One of them was identified as Zach Hickerson, who told police that Panettiere was his brother Brian Hickerson’s girlfriend.

Panettiere and Brian Hickerson had a complicated, on-again, off-again relationship that included incidents of domestic violence. Panettiere discussed aspects of their relationship in her memoir.

The police report described the emotional scene as emergency personnel attempted to save Panettiere.

Officers said one of the men appeared “very emotional” while CPR was being performed. His brother, meanwhile, did not become emotional until after Panettiere was officially pronounced dead.

EMS declared the actress deceased at approximately 2:31 p.m., according to the report.

Her Boyfriend Reportedly Showed Police the Medicine She Was Taking

Police also documented that Panettiere’s boyfriend showed officers a bag containing medication she was taking.

A courtesy officer at the Judson Mill Lofts also told investigators that surveillance footage was available showing all three people arriving at and leaving the property.

The circumstances surrounding Panettiere’s death remain under investigation.

911 audio previously indicated that emergency dispatchers were told about an unresponsive woman experiencing cardiac arrest. The call also included a reference to a possible overdose, with CPR reportedly already underway.

The Greenville County Coroner’s Office later released additional information following Panettiere’s death.

An Autopsy Was Performed

Officials said an autopsy was completed and found no signs of trauma that would have contributed to her death.

However, the coroner has not yet determined an official cause or manner of death. Additional testing is still pending, and the investigation remains active.

Panettiere’s death was confirmed Sunday by her publicist. She was 36.

The actress began her career as a child performer before becoming widely known for her role as Claire Bennet on NBC’s “Heroes.” She later starred as country singer Juliette Barnes on ABC’s “Nashville,” earning multiple award nominations for the role.

Her film credits included “Remember the Titans,” “Raising Helen,” “Scream 4” and “Scream VI.” Her final years were marked by a renewed openness about her personal struggles, including the challenges she faced throughout her career.

Panettiere is survived by her daughter, Kaya, whom she shared with former fiancé Wladimir Klitschko.

Friends, former costars and fans continue to remember Panettiere.

Klitschko penned a heartbreaking tribute to the late actress.

“Our family is going through a time of profound shock and grief,” he wrote. “The announcement of Hayden’s tragic death saddens me deeply. She left this world far too soon. Hayden was, although no longer my partner, an important part of my life and the mother of our daughter, Kaya.”

He also shared a message for their daughter.

“To our daughter Kaya, I will always speak of her mother with respect and make sure she remembers the person she was,” he added.
