The Playoffs Begin

Time for the Playoffs to begin. Team Reba and Team Bublé will be performing tonight. Each coach gets to pick one artist to represent them in the Live Finale in two weeks.

At the end of the show, voting opens for the first time this season. America will get to vote to send one of the non-selected artists from tonight to also make the Live Finale, so three artists total from tonight will make the Voice Finale!

Aaron Nichols – Team Reba

Aaron is definitely missing his family during this process. This is also Reba’s Mic Drop selection. For this performance, he is singing “Beer Never Broke My Heart” by Luke Combs. He said it’s a fun, upbeat song, and he wants to show that before the finale.

Aaron is definitely country. He has such a strong voice. It works well on this song, and he got the crowd behind him.

Coaches’ Feedback: Snoop said he performs like a superstar. You can’t lose with him. Reba said he did wonderful in rehearsal, but this is the cherry on top.

Jazz McKenzie – Team Bublé on ‘The Voice’

Michael said she is the best vocalist that he’s ever seen on “The Voice. For this performance, she is singing “Don’t Stop Believin'” by Journey. She said she chose this song, as it is the anthem to her life, and never stop believing.

Oh my, Jazz did her thing on this song. This is a song everyone knows. However, she put her own twist on it. Those notes she was hitting were crazy. This was a stellar performance.

Coaches’ Feedback: Niall said there is zero she can’t do. She is a ridiculous singer, and she deserves to be in the finale. Michael said he got goosebumps; that was amazing.

Ryan Mitchell – Team Reba

This rocker is the Carson Callback. For the Playoffs, he is singing “Undressed” by Sombr. He is hoping to go from almost being sent home to the Finale.

He has a low-key voice. It’s just subtle, but it works for this song. It’s a cool tune, and I think he sounds good on it. He hits a long, big note towards the end. Ryan has a good vibe, and it works with this song.

Coaches’ Feedback: Niall said it felt like we were at his show. Reba said he keeps giving more, and she loves what he’s bringing to the show.

Trinity – Team Bublé

Michael said she can sing any genre. Reba tried to steal her from Team Bublé. For the Playoffs, Trinity said she can dive into a different side: rock. She is singing “Barracuda” by Heart.

Yes, this is a different side for her. She has a very strong voice. However, this song choice doesn’t work for me. I think she could shine on something else, and this just fell flat for me.

Coaches’ Feedback: Snoop said she was up there rocking out, and she just moved up in my book. Michael said she is so quiet in real life, but she has so much confidence as an artist. She has all the elements it takes to be a real star.

Aubrey Nicole – Team Reba

Aubrey is another one-chair turn. Niall said she is a black horse in this competition. For the Playoffs, Aubrey will be singing “Black Velvet” by Alannah Myles. Reba said this is not a sweet song she has been singing, so she needs to bring the attitude.

She has that country twang to her, and it works on this song. Her voice is so pure, and it has this sound to it that is appealing. Such a good tone, and I am a fan.

Coaches’ Feedback: Niall said those last two performances by her deserve a spot in the finale. She is special. Reba said she loves the song, and she stepped out on this stage, and she owned it. She sang her butt off, and she has great stage appeal. She is the complete package.

Rob Cole – Team Bublé

Rob auditioned for “The Voice” during season 25, but got no chairs to turn around. Now, here he is, just one step away from the Voice Finale. For the Playoffs, he is singing “I Hope You Dance” by Lee Ann Womack.

I feel Rob has a very good voice. He seems like a very seasoned singer, but this song choice is just mellow to me. It starts too slowly for me. He finally kicks in right towards the end, and hits a big note, and it works for me. You can feel the emotion at the end.

Coaches’ Feedback: Reba said it touched her heart. He took that song and made it better. Snoop said he is sweet on him and would take him into the studio and record with him.

Peyton Kyle – Team Reba

Reba said Peyton is his chamillione, and she is surprised by him every time he takes the stage. Before this, he was gigging full-time and singing on small stages; now he is so close to the Voice Finale. For the Playoffs, he is singing “Hold Back the River” by James Bay.

You want a person to have that something. Something in their voice that just stands out, makes you feel something. I feel like Peyton has that. His voice is unique, and I enjoy listening to him sing.

Coaches’ Feedback: Snoop said he would be smokin’ and vibin’ to his music. Reba said he is so proud of him, and everyone around the world can see how good he is.

Max Chambers – Team Bublé

Michael said Max is his 14-year-old phenom. Max was Michael’s Mic Drop pick also. For this Playoff, he will be singing “A Change Is Gonna Come” by Sam Cooke. He said he is going to sing it for his family and for the world.

It’s just amazing how he is only 14 years old. His voice is so strong and old school. He is so confident on that stage for someone in high school! Max is a winner, and this is going to be a tough one for Michael.

Coaches’ Feedback: Snoop said Michael, that is the winner of “The Voice.” Michael said he can be so quiet, but he steps up, and people listen. He could not have asked for him to be better.
