The coaches on season 28 of “The Voice” continued to narrow down their teams from 12 to six artists each during the third night of Battles on October 20, 2025. This season has some incredibly talented singers, so coaches Snoop Dogg, Michael Bublé, Reba McEntire, and Niall Horan had to make some hard decisions about who to send home.
The competition has grown so fierce that Horan said during a rehearsal with two of his artists — Carolina Rodriguez and Kirbi — that he’d never seen anything like their duet in three seasons on the show, and that there “wasn’t a dry eye” in the room when they were done.
Duet Partners Kirbi & Carolina Rodriguez Stun Niall Horan & Advisor Lewis Capaldi During Rehearsal
Kirbi and Rodriguez chose each other as Battle partners, hoping their “folk and soul” styles would mix well together. Did they ever! Horan selected Lauren Daigle’s “You Say” for them to perform, and they were so in sync and powerful together that Horan and celebrity advisor Lewis Capaldi looked stunned. Kirbi was brought to tears at the tail end.
Capaldi said, “Sometimes you watch performances and something about it just hits you in the gut,” and Horan marveled, “It was a real moment. There wasn’t a dry eye and I haven’t seen like that before on this show. It was amazing.”
After they performed flawlessly again for the coaches and audience, Horan was in a tough position, but eventually decided to keep Kirbi. But within seconds, Snoop hit his buzzer to snap up Rodriguez with his only steal. Horan was so thrilled she’d get to stay in the competition, too, that he raised his fists in the air and hugged Snoop. RESULT: Kirbi WON and Carolina Rodriguez was STOLEN by Snoop.

The final night of “The Voice” Battles will air on October 27, with no more episodes airing on Tuesday nights.
