Former “The Voice” coach Christina Aguilera recently shared a heartwarming video on Instagram that showcased the songstress, her fiancé Matt Rutler, and their 11-year-old daughter, Summer Rain Rutler, on a fun-filled vacation in Costa Rica.
Aguilera does not often share photos or videos of the couple’s daughter, so seeing the three together enjoying a tropical experience has got fans loving their sweet and rare family moment. The songstress also shares a son, Max Liron Bratman, born in 2008, with her ex-husband, Jordan Bratman.

Christina Aguilera, her fiancé Matt Rutler, and their 11-year-old daughter, Summer Rain Rutler, recently enjoyed a tropical family getaway to Costa Rica.
In a March 25 Instagram post, the singer shared a video of the trio exploring La Paz Waterfall Gardens & Wildlife Refuge, where they wandered through lush greenery and encountered incredible wildlife, including jungle cats, colorful birds, and monkeys.
The family also posed for photos near a stunning waterfall, where one clip showed both Aguilera and Rutler planting a kiss on Summer’s head. The group also spent time in a butterfly enclosure, where the delicate creatures fluttered around and landed all over Summer.
Aguilera captioned the post, “La Paz Waterfall Gardens & Wildlife Refuge … thank you for the wonderful tour and the breath of fresh air ☁️🩵🦋 pura vida xxx.”
Rutler Celebrated His Daughter’s Milestone 10th Birthday
Aguilera and Rutler welcomed their daughter, Summer, on August 16, 2014. When Summer turned 10, her father shared a sweet tribute on Instagram, giving fans a rare peek into the famous family.
The video featured a montage of special moments with Summer, including trips to the museum and the zoo, cheering at a hockey game, and a red carpet appearance alongside her parents. The clip concluded with a serene moment of Rutler and his daughter paddleboarding together as the sun set.
“Happy 10th Birthday to my incredible Summer Rain! ☀️” Rutler began his caption. “Double digits and a world of possibilities ahead. Watching you grow into the amazing person you are has been the greatest adventure. Here’s to many more memories, laughs, and endless love. So proud and lucky to be your dad. ❤️”
GettyFans will also be excited to know that Summer has inherited her mom’s creativity. While it’s still unclear whether she’s picked up Aguilera’s singing chops, the singer did share on “The Jennifer Hudson Show” in December 2025 that Summer is exploring all creative outlets, including acting.
“She’s such an artist, she paints, she draws, she makes beautiful masks, and she’s just so creative, but she’s definitely her own thing,” she said. “And I never want to push anything on my kids, whatever they’re passionate about, I’m there to support it, but she has taken an interest in acting, so she’s had a few lessons.”
