What can’t the Jonas Brothers do? It feels as though Kevin, Joe and Nick are constantly on tour, releasing new music, appearing on “The Voice,” or promoting a new film project.
All that, on top of spending time with their families, it seems impossible that the brothers add another line to their resumes.
However, the “Burning Up” artists are doing just that as they announce their next major career move!
Jonas Brothers Podcast
On Tuesday, May 19, the Jonas Brothers shocked fans when they announced the premiere of their brand-new podcast, “Hey Jonas!”
“Hey Jonas! Available NOW wherever you listen to podcasts!” the band’s official Instagram profile shared.
“It’s us! Your favorite Jonas Brothers and we’re on a show now called Hey Jonas!” Joe said in a follow-up post.
‘Hey Jonas’ Origins
In the brothers’ first 12-minute mini-pod, they revealed how they landed on the name “Hey, Jonas!” for their podcast.
“I think it was on a call about what we should call it,” Kevin explained.
“Well, we were thinking of originally calling it one of the early names of our band before Jonas Brothers. We had Sons of Jonas,” Joe added.
However, according to Nick, his brothers were both wrong.
“This is how you guys remember it going down?” the “Jealous” artist said. “I have a very different memory of this. It had nothing to do with Jonas [Brothers].”
He explained, “We were talking about a thing a bit for the podcast where people could call in and say, ‘Hey, Jonas.’ And then I wrote down on my little notepad, ‘Hey Jonas’, and offered it up as a potential title for the podcast. But thanks for remembering that, guys.”
According to Kevin, he and his brothers “felt left out” as everyone else began launching podcasts.
“Well, I was thinking more that we had a lot of really important things to talk about,” Nick joked. “You know, we don’t spend enough time with each other as it is. So why not just fill the space between soundcheck and the show with a podcast where we have to be…”
“Together in a closed environment even more,” Kevin interjected.
Jonas Brothers Are Busy
Nick, Kevin and Joe’s schedule shows no signs of slowing down.
The brothers are preparing for four back-to-back shows in Las Vegas, beginning May 20.
“That’s a lot of Vegas,” Nick explained during the podcast clip. “And our Malti’s with me. She’s here. We’ve been doing some pool time. Priyanka is shooting in India, so we’re doing some daddy-daughter time. We’re going to go check out the Cirque Du Soleil show on a day off.”
In addition to Vegas, Kevin, the oldest Jonas, released his first solo single, “Little Things.”
“It’s about all those little moments that just make up the things in your life that matter the most,” Kevin explained. “The little things about someone that just keep making you happy.”
“Who’s that someone that comes to mind?” Joe asked.
“My wife Danielle, of course,” he said.
The first full episode of “Hey, Jonas!” drops on Wednesday, May 20.
