Former Talk Show Hosts Show Support as Kelly Clarkson Announces Show Ending

Rumors have been swirling for weeks that “The Kelly Clarkson Show” would come to an end following its current season. Kelly Clarkson has finally confirmed those reports and received support for other former talk show hosts.

Kelly Clarkson Announces Show End

Clarkson took to social media on Monday, February 2, to inform the world of her decision.

“I have been extremely fortunate to work with such an outstanding group of people at ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show,’ both in Los Angeles and New York. There have been so many amazing moments and shows over these seven seasons,” Clarkson began.

She continued, “I am forever grateful and honored to have worked alongside the greatest band and crew you could hope for, all the talent and inspiring people who have shared their time and lives with us, all the fans who have supported our show and to NBC for always being such a supportive and incredible partner.”

The Grammy Award winner explained that it was a difficult decision. However, she looks forward to prioritizing her children, “which feels necessary and right for this next chapter of our lives.”

Clarkson shares daughter River and son Remi with late ex-husband Brandon Blackstock.

“This isn’t goodbye. I’ll still be making music, playing shows here and there, and you may catch me on ‘The Voice‘ from time to time … you never know where I might show up next,” she added. “But for now, I want to thank y’all so much for allowing our show to be a part of your lives, and for believing in us and hanging with us for seven incredible years.”

Kelly Clarkson Receives Support From Former Hosts

Clarkson’s comment section was flooded with support from fans and colleagues, including former “The Real” host Loni Love, and former guest co-host of “The View” Yvette Nicole Brown.

“Kelly, you’re a phenomenal host! Solo hosting a daytime show is no easy feat, and you crushed it!” Love wrote. “The way you learned a new song each show was incredible. Your poise, passion, and wit constantly impressed me. Thanks for letting me be part of your show. I’ll never forget the Halloween episode! It was a much-needed pick-me-up after ‘The Real’ got cancelled. You’re an angel to everyone around you. Take care of yourself and your babies – we will always be here! Love you, Sis! ❤️”

For her part, Brown commented, “I hope I get to visit with you before your show ends! I loved watching you as a host! 🩷 I know I’ll love seeing whatever you choose to do next! You’ve never missed!”
