“The Voice” may be planning a major return to form for its milestone 30th season. According to a report, producers are working to assemble a high-profile lineup of returning coaches as the show looks ahead to its next chapter.
While nothing has been finalized, the reported goal is to bring together a group of familiar faces who have each played a key role in the show’s success over the years.
‘The Voice’ Season 30 Coaches Rumored to Include Blake Shelton and Adam Levine
A production source told The U.S. Sun that NBC is aiming to secure Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Adam Levine, and Kelly Clarkson as coaches for season 30.
“For season 30, they want to go big since it will be a milestone year,” the insider said. “Though the lineup isn’t finalized yet since filming for 30 won’t start until late Spring/early Summer 2026.”
The source added that producers have long wanted to reunite Shelton and Levine, who were original coaches when the show premiered in 2011.
“But the producers are trying to lock in a deal to get Blake and Adam back together, they’ve wanted that for years and think 30 is an opportune time to make it happen,” the insider explained.
The same source noted that including Stefani and Clarkson would round out the group.
“It would be great to make it a full family affair with Gwen part of it too. Kelly would make the most sense to round out that foursome,” the insider said.
Challenges Remain for ‘The Voice’ Season 30 Dream Lineup
Despite the reported plans, the lineup is not confirmed and several factors could affect the final decision.
“So if producers get their way, 30 will be Adam, Blake, Gwen, and Kelly. Nothing is official yet though,” the source said. “The biggest challenge is getting Blake and Gwen back at all, it’s most likely going to cost the show a fortune to make that happen.”
The source also pointed to Clarkson’s schedule as a potential obstacle.
“And also booking Kelly on back-to-back seasons with her busy schedule and tough year. A lot of moving parts but they want to make it work.”
Season 29 currently features Levine, Clarkson, and John Legend as coaches, marking the first time the show has used a three-coach format.
Showrunner Audrey Morrissey previously explained to Gold Derby that the change was due to scheduling constraints, but the show is expected to return to a four-coach panel for future seasons.
Blake Shelton’s Potential Return to ‘The Voice’
Shelton, who served as a coach for 23 consecutive seasons, stepped away from the show to focus on his personal life. He previously spoke about the decision in an interview with Access Hollywood.
“I think the only way for me to really [parent] right is to step away from being committed to something like The Voice that demands a lot of your time,” Shelton said. “There’s no way around it. If you’re going to do it and do it right, you have to be 10 percent in. And I just feel like those days are behind me for now. I got a more important job.”
Shelton remains connected to the show and has appeared in promotional content since his departure.
Season 30 has not yet been officially announced, but based on the show’s typical schedule, it could premiere in fall 2026.

PLEASE NOT GWEN, KELLY, AND/OR BLAKE! That would make the coaches lean way overboard for Country.
Better choices: Adam Levine, John Legend, Niall Horan, and Reba or Lady Gaga!
