A new sneak peek from “The Voice” is giving fans an early look at tonight’s April 6 episode, highlighting a standout matchup as the Knockouts continue. The preview, shared via NBC Insider, teases a high-stakes battle as the competition inches closer to the semi-finals.
NBCUniversalThe matchup features Mikenley Brown, 19, going head-to-head with Jonah Mayor, a former boy band performer. In the preview, Brown performs “Pink Pony Club,” while Mayor takes on “You’ll Be in My Heart,” setting up a contrast in style and vocal approach. The song choices highlight each contestant’s strengths, making the outcome of the battle even harder to predict.
Mikenley Brown & Jonah Mayor Deliver ‘Must-See’ Knockout Performances
In the clip, both artists take the stage knowing only one will move forward. The Knockouts round challenges contestants to deliver polished, emotionally driven performances, often pushing them outside their comfort zones as they fight to stand out.
Mikenley Brown performed her version of “Pink Pony Club” by Chappell Roan and left the coaches impressed with her vocal choices and creativity. Adam Levine told Brown, “I’m a big fan of your voice. It was a good song choice, and you did great.” John Legend even told the young contestant, “I think you won this knockout.”

Jonah Mayor took on “You’ll Be in My Heart” by Phil Collins and while it was a nearly perfect performance, judges had mixed reviews. John Legend expressed to Mayor that although the song is “sincere” and “lovely,” in a competition setting “it’s hard for it to land where you want it to land.”
Ultimately the choice will be left up to Kelly Clarkson, and we will see the outcome in tonight’s episode. The long-time ‘Voice’ affiliate told NBC Insider,
“This is the first season that the voting is in-house. That’s never happened, which is exciting,” Clarkson said. “It’s different on TV than when you’re in the room… the energy in the room is different, it sounds different, it’s a different thing… So I’m excited about that, I’m also nervous about that.”
Knockouts Continue as Semi-Finals Quickly Approach
The fiery matchups continue tonight on “The Voice: Battle of Champions,” as Coaches John Legend, Kelly Clarkson, and Adam Levine solidify their teams for the Semi-Finals. Mega Mentor and returning Coach CeeLo Green will continue to head the All-Star Showdown, determining who will get the extra spot in the Finals.
NBCUniversalThe Knockouts will conclude tonight as the All-Star Showdown commences on Monday, April 6 at 9/8c on NBC. The two-hour episode will be available to stream the next day on Peacock.

Kelly should have chosen Jonah, he was soooooo much better than Mikenley who destroyed the song “Pink Pony Club” 🙁 Can’t believe she chose Mikenley over Jonah. I hope The Voice finds a better female coach next season that doesn’t rudely talk over the other two coaches!
