There are some jobs that stick with you forever, and that’s certainly the case for Tracy Spiridakos. After leaving “Chicago PD,” she landed the leading role in “Anna Pigeon,” which just premiered on USA Network on Aug. 7, 2026. She can’t escape the series she left behind, as it turns out her former colleagues are clamoring for cameos.
To be fair to Spiridakos, she didn’t leave “Chicago PD” behind anyway. She returned to the “One Chicago” crossover event in early 2026, where her character Upton revealed that she is now part of the FBI. She and Halstead, played by Jesse Lee Soffer, had their first on-screen reunion since Soffer left the series during the 10th season.
However, her old job is following her into the new one. Not that she’s complaining.
Who Wants a Cameo on ‘Anna Pigeon’?
GettyThe new USA series follows Spiridakos as the titular character, a park ranger who solves crimes within the jurisdiction of her park. However, she has a lot of her own trauma after a loss, and that leads to plenty of character development throughout the series.
Jason Beghe, who plays Voight on “Chicago PD” has already pitched the idea of playing an important role in Anna’s life. He wants to play her dad, which is fitting considering the relationship Voight and Upton had on the “One Chicago” crime drama. While not related, Voight took on a fatherly role for Upton, and he even viewed her as an honorary daughter. While Voight is gruff, he has certainly taken many of the characters under his wing, and he protects them as a father would.
The relationship is strong off-screen, as well. Spiridakos told Us Weekly that Beghe was quick to send a video when she landed the role of Anna Pigeon, sharing, “And when I got the part, he sent me a video saying congratulations on my first day — and that he wanted to come play my dad.”
‘Chicago PD’ Fans Have Other Cameo Hopes
GettyOf course, there is another cameo that fans of the crime series would love to see happen, and it’s all about Soffer. While some fans would love to see the actor take on a villainous role opposite Spiridakos, Soffer has even pitched the idea of playing a park ranger on the show. The latter doesn’t rule out him still being a villain, as there are dirty park rangers, just like there are dirty cops.
Spiridakos is more than happy to see her co-star on her show. If he doesn’t get the chance to star, then she would love to see him behind the camera. Soffer has returned to the “One Chicago” universe in the past to direct episodes, and she would like to see him get that chance on “Anna Pigeon.”
When it comes to “Anna Pigeon,” Spiridakos shared that she was hooked from the pilot episode. This character is nothing like Upton, and while she adored that character, she is happy to try out something new. Upton was constantly serious, while Anna has some humor and a sarcastic nature behind her, creating lightness even when there is trauma and grief. “Anna Pigeon” airs on Fridays on USA Network, but it’s not yet available to stream online.
