When “Love Is Blind” premiered on Netflix in 2020, nobody really knew the phenomenon that it would become. It was an immediate hit, and its fans are now getting ready for Season 11 to premiere in the fall. However, it’s not stuck to just the one country, with “Love Is Blind” being a huge hit in the UK, Japan, Sweden, and much more. It’s not that surprising that another country is joining the list.
Netflix has confirmed that “Love Is Blind: Canada” is happening, and casting is already open. In fact, people are already tagging their friends so that they can sign up and see if they can be on the new season of the reality series.
The Pods Are Opening in Canada

Hopeful singles will be split off into two groups — male and female — and they will look for love in their pods. A wall sits in between the pods, so that men and women connect on an emotional level before a physical one. The idea is whether love truly is blind or not.
This is not the first reality show to head north of the border. “Jersey Shore” has had a Canadian version in Kelowna, B.C., and there is “The Bachelor Canada” that hasn’t quite been a huge success but is there. Now it’s time to see if love can be found in another way, the casting call sharing that those interested need to be 19 by January 2027. They’ll also need to either be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident. This hints that filming will start just after then.
Netflix states that the pods will officially open “sometime in 2027.” There isn’t a specific date as of yet, and that hints at a late 2027 or maybe an early 2028 release date for the new series.
Are There Individual Locations for ‘Love Is Blind: Canada’

It helps to create a more realistic experience for love to turn into a marriage that can work, as long-distance relationships create stumbling blocks that can’t be jumped over even with the best of intentions. The country is just so big!
That’s the case with Canada, as well. Many overlook the size of the country, and that’s often because people migrate to very specific cities in various provinces. However, it doesn’t look like “Love Is Blind: Canada” is going to do the same as its American counterpart. The casting call is for anybody in the country, and that opens up some issues. In fact, the report specifically states that this is a chance for “singles from Vancouver to Halifax” to find love sight unseen. Those who do want to apply can go directly to the “Love Is Blind: Canada” casting call.
Fans of the shows in other locations have seen what distance can do. Even somewhere as small as the UK has had its challenges due to travel and long-distance relationships. This hasn’t stopped many people from texting and tagging their friends as the news dropped. There are plenty of people out there willing to risk it all for love.
For now, eyes are on “Love Is Blind” Season 11, which will premiere sometime in fall 2026. An exact date has not yet been confirmed, but this season will take place in Boston.
