Fans love Catherine Zeta-Jones in Netflix’s “Wednesday,” but it’s time to see her take the lead on TV screens around the world once more. That’s happening with “Kill Jackie,” a series based on the acclaimed novel “The Price You Pay” by Nicke Harkaway.
While the series is heading to Prime Video internationally, U.S. fans will need AMC+ to watch all eight episodes. The downside to the AMC+ release is that the episodes will come out weekly, while the rest of the world gets it as a binge-watch. You’ll want to avoid spoilers online!
‘Kill Jackie’ Release Date on AMC+
AMCAccording to an AMC Network press release emailed to the press, “Kill Jackie” will be released on AMC+ on Oct. 2, 2026. Only the first of eight episodes will be released, with the streaming platform opting for a weekly release format. This is the same format that “The Terror: Devil In Silver” recently got, and it proved to be a successful option for that series, quickly landing a fourth season renewal.
The rest of the world will get the episodes on the same date as a binge-watch on Prime Video. This includes in locations such as the UK, Ireland, Canada, Germany, and Switzerland.
Zeta-Jones leads an outstanding cast, which will include Bill Patterson, Ron Perlman, Darci Shaw, and Hattie Hook. It’s a packed production that is co-produced by Fremantle and Steel Springs Pictures, with creatives from “Gangs of London,” “John Wick,” and “Killing Eve” behind it.
What Is ‘Kill Jackie’ About?
AMCThis is a story where “The Haunting” star Zeta-Jones isn’t the one after revenge, despite it being promoted as a revenge thriller. Instead, she is the one that people want to get revenge on. As she learns that a terrifying squad of hitmen, The Seven Demons, is after her, she realizes that someone from her past must have put out a hit on her.
Now, she needs to survive. However, she also needs to take down the Demons one by one if she wants to get to the bottom of who really wants revenge. Along the way, viewers learn more about her buried secrets, which may or may not have them rooting for her by the end. It’s a twisty story that is sure to be worth the watch.
What is that past? Well, part of it involves international drug smuggling, while now she works as an art dealer. The big question is who she angered during her drug smuggling days, or who she annoyed by leaving the scene.
AMCAMC+ has released a deliciously teasing key art for the first season, along with a few images. It gives fans a look at the many sophisticated looks Zeta-Jones’ character will take on as she gets to the bottom of the plot against her.
If you simply can’t wait for the series, then you’ll want to check out the novel “The Price You Pay.” While it is by Nick Harkaway, it’s written under his Aidan Truhen pseudonym. The main character in the novel is a man, so this new TV series has already brought change with the gender flip. It’ll be interesting to see everything else that has changed because of this.
