Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones brought the whole family together for a rare photo, giving fans a sweet glimpse at the Hollywood couple’s life away from the cameras. Douglas shared the photo on Instagram, posing beside Zeta-Jones and their children, Dylan Douglas and Carys Douglas, during what appeared to be a scenic evening outing.

Douglas and Zeta-Jones welcomed Dylan in 2000 after beginning their relationship in the late 1990s. Their daughter, Carys, followed a few years later. Douglas is also father to his eldest son, Cameron, from his previous marriage to Diandra Luker. The couple first crossed paths at the Deauville Film Festival in 1998 after Douglas saw Zeta-Jones in “The Mask of Zorro” and asked his publicist to arrange an introduction.
Douglas later recalled making an especially bold prediction during that first meeting.”You know, I’m going to be the father of your children,” he told her, according to his appearance on “The Jonathan Ross Show.”
The prediction eventually proved accurate. The pair married in 2000 and have now spent more than 25 years building a life together.
Catherine Zeta-Jones Has Called Family One of Her Greatest Blessings
Zeta-Jones has frequently spoken about the close relationship she shares with Dylan and Carys.
When Dylan accompanied her to the Los Angeles premiere of “Wednesday” in November 2022, she joked about having her son as her date.
“Well first of all, husband Michael is very happy that this is my date! A collaboration between the two of us, the gift that keeps on giving,” Zeta-Jones told People. “Both my daughter and Dylan have been so incredibly supportive to me, not just as an actor, but just me, you know.”
She added, “I’ve been extremely blessed to be able to have both in my life.”

“But I’m crazy about her. And yeah, I think every couple has their difficult times. The only problem is, as you well know, we’re all in the public eye, and it tends to get a little more exposed than most. We’re back stronger than ever.”

As Dylan and Carys grew up, Douglas admitted that their departure from home created another adjustment for the longtime couple.
During a 2021 appearance on “Today,“ he reflected on what happens when years of parenting suddenly give way to a quieter house. “It’s scary. It really is,” Douglas said. “You look at each other and go, ‘Well, it’s just you and me, babe.'”
He added, “You forget how many conversations you sort of hide behind in terms of talking about your kids and what’s going on next and this and that, and then one day you just look at each other … We’re 20 years now, so all those good years of paying attention to each other are paying off now.”
