One of the stars of the hugely popular teen comedy movie franchise “American Pie” has reflected on the time she met one of the most famous musical stars of all time.
Shannon Elizabeth, 52, plays Nadia in three of the franchise’s instalments. They are 1999’s “American Pie,” 2001’s “American Pie 2,” and 2012’s “American Reunion.”
Nadia is, of course, the Czech exchange student with whom Jason Biggs’ James “Jim” Levenstein attempts to lose his virginity in the original film. She then reappears in the sequel to hook up with Jim before he decided Alyson Hannigan’s Michelle Flaherty was the girl for him, before making her final appearance (to date, at least) at the East Great Falls High School “Class of ’99” reunion, where she hilariously has a Jim lookalike as her plus one.
While still a hot commodity in 2026, Elizabeth was undoubtedly at the height of her fame in the 2000s. It was then that she was invited to an event attended by none other than the “King of Pop” himself, Michael Jackson. The star recently took to social media to explain.

Shannon Elizabeth shared her experience of meeting the legendary Michael Jackson with the 613,000 followers on her Instagram account.
The post includes includes a single photograph of the meeting. In the picture, Jackson poses alongside a smiling Elizabeth and affectionately rests his hand on the side of her head.
Elizabeth’s caption on her post begins, “Still one of the most surreal weekends of my life, and I have the photo to prove it actually happened.”
It continues, “I’d been invited to a birthday party at a castle in England, and when I walked in, the host turned to me and said, ‘Shannon, come meet my friend Michael.’ He turned around and it was Michael Jackson. I was so tongue tied all I managed to say was, ‘Hi, nice to meet you.'”
The caption goes on, “I got to spend a little time with him that weekend, and one thing he said to me has stuck with me ever since. He asked what I do to make the world a better place. That question gave me the chance to tell him about Animal Avengers, the charity I’d started to help rescue dogs and cats. The whole weekend still doesn’t feel entirely real.”
It then concludes, “So, I’ll ask you the same thing he asked me. What do you do to make this world a better place?”
Elizabeth’s followers loved the picture and the story behind it, with one of them commenting, “What an incredible photo. You’re so lucky.”
How amazing it must have been for the young Elizabeth to meet one of the most famous men in history. What a wonderful memory to be able to look back on.
Elizabeth Has an Upcoming Movie Project
GettyAfter a relatively quiet period in her career, it’s exciting that Shannon Elizabeth has one upcoming acting project confirmed.
Elizabeth will appear in the horror thriller movie “First Witch,” which is directed by the duo of Manuel H. Da Silva and L.A. Lopes.
Per IMDb, its plot is as follows: “A couple travels to a small town to seek alternative conception methods from a traditional healer, only to uncover the town’s dark past.”
Elizabeth will play a character called Mari. Her co-stars include Karina Correa, James Murray, Cristian Wadsworth Vargas, Lambros Bryan Demos, Falana Huggins, and Anna Dee Kossi.
The star’s most recent movie prior to “First Witch” was 2024’s comedy “Plan B.” A few guest appearances aside, her most recent prominent television role was in 2018’s inaugural series of the reality television show “Celebrity Big Brother.”
It’ll be great to see Elizabeth back on the big screen again. However, “First Witch” doesn’t yet have a release date.
