On Thursday, Dickerson told Page Six that he recently hung out with Urban at the Country to Country music festival.

And while he didn’t get to spend a lot of time with the former “American Idol” judge, he can tell that he’s “doing great” and “seemed in good spirits” despite his split from Kidman.

“He’s always been focused on music, and so I think he’s just kind of doubling down on that, and it’s just beautiful,” Dickerson told Page Six at the iHeartRadio Music Awards. “I can’t wait to hear what comes out of it.”

Dickerson also spoke highly of Urban, whom he considers his musical hero.

“I felt like a germ after every night because after every night, I was like, ‘I love you so much, you’re my hero,'” Dickerson told the outlet. “I’m sorry I say this so much, but I don’t say this to anybody else.”

Dickerson revealed that Urban has always been a huge influence on him.

“I’ve toured with all of them,” he added, referring to other country singers he’s performed with before. “But Keith Urban is my guy ….I learned his songs when I was learning guitar, and he’s such an influence on me learning guitar and everything.”

Meanwhile, Kidman recently spoke out about her split from Urban, marking her first public comments since the divorce.

In an interview with Variety, the actress said she’s been doing well since the separation.

“I am, because I’m always going to be moving toward what’s good,” Kidman said in the March 11 interview. “What I’m grateful for is my family and keeping them as is and moving forward. That’s that.”

The “Babygirl” actress added that she’s opting not to speak further on other matters out of respect.

“Everything else I don’t discuss out of respect,” she continued. “I’m staying in a place of, ‘We are a family,’ and that’s what we’ll continue to be. My beautiful girls, my darlings, who are suddenly women.”

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban first met in January 2005 and tied the knot in June 2006.

  1. He’s doing fine! She may be the one to pull the trigger, but he wants the divorce. From the outside, looking in, it appears to be his loss.
