‘Big Brother 28’: Julie Chen Moonves Reveals Who She Supports After Angela and Haley’s Fight

Julie Chen Moonves has witnessed many arguments throughout her “Big Brother” career as host. She is not afraid to give her opinion on how houseguests behave, like when Jason De Puy bragged about manipulating Angela Murray earlier this season.

Murray, 52, got into another argument earlier this week with a former ally, Haley Thogmartin. Moonves, 56, revealed which houseguest she supports.

Betrayal is part of the “Big Brother” game. The majority alliance was ready to turn on each other during Thogmartin’s Head of Household reign. She was blindsided when they did not vote out her target, Melody Morris. Murray felt guilty and revealed to the telemedicine executive that she lied about her vote.

I was 100 [percent] behind Angela,” Moonves told Entertainment Weekly. “Her conscience got the better of her, and she came clean. Then Haley lied and threw Angela under the bus as revenge. Not cool. Angela seemed genuinely sorry, and Haley didn’t see that. Seemed cold and unforgiving. Not wise.”

Thogmartin confronted Dee Valladares and Murray about their vote in episode 18. She claimed she wasn’t mad about flipping the vote, but wanted to know who was lying. Valladares, 29, lied and said she voted to evict Morris.

The “Survivor” winner walked away, and Thogmartin told Murray that she knew she lied. Murray advised her to let it go since people aren’t going to tell her the truth. She also felt like Thogmartin trusted her and didn’t want to burn that bridge by continuing to lie.

Murray admitted to Thogmartin that she flipped the next day. She apologized and said she wanted to move forward. The Red Corner met to discuss everything. Thogmartin lied, saying Murray told her Valladares voted the wrong way to Chuk Anyanwu and Kamu Kirk. Murray joined the conversation, and when she heard this, she cursed out Thogmartin.

LaTrice “LaLa” Verrett nominated Thogmartin, Anyanwu, and Barrett Pfeiffer for the block. Anyanwu went home, which is another blow to Thogmartin’s game.

The icons are in a different position after blowing up their alliances. Valladares, Murray, and Rick Devens were prepared to vote out Drew Campbell during Thogmartin’s HOH. Valladares said she didn’t blame Murray if she told Thogmartin about how she voted to save herself. But this could affect how much they trust each other for votes in the future.

Verrett, 58, also told houseguests that they need to target the icons so they’re not on the jury. That will be tough since Valladares has the BB Bribe from the BB Time Capsule. She can offer $5k to sway another player in the game.

Devens has the Diamond Power of Veto for six weeks. It allows him to take someone off the block and choose the replacement nominee.

Thogmartin’s social game was one of the weaker aspects of her gameplay. She clashed with Morris before her HOH. Jason De Puy also called her out in a nomination meeting. If she addresses that, then her luck might change.
