Austen Kroll’s ex-girlfriend, Audrey Pratt, has addressed comments he made about their relationship during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live.”
The “Southern Charm” star discussed the breakup during the February 4 episode of the Bravo talk show with host Andy Cohen. After the clip circulated on Instagram, Pratt responded publicly and disputed Kroll’s claim that the two remain in contact.
Their split and the timeline surrounding it were featured throughout “Southern Charm” season 11.
Audrey Pratt Responds to Austen Kroll’s ‘Watch What Happens Live’ Claims
During his appearance on “Watch What Happens Live”—alongside Craig Conover and Shep Rose—Kroll answered a viewer question about the end of his relationship with Pratt.
“Do you feel bad for Audrey when you saw the entire season play out and now realize how done you were with the relationship all summer?” Andy Cohen asked, reading a question submitted by an audience member.
“That has to be heartbreaking for her.”
Kroll acknowledged that watching the season unfold was difficult.
“It has been heartbreaking for me to kind of see it back and for her to kind of be like, ‘I didn’t know that these thoughts were going through your head,’” Kroll said. “So that definitely is very sad because I care about her still a lot.”
When Cohen asked if the two remained in touch, Kroll said they had communicated occasionally.
“We are, but not as often,” he explained. “I mean, we certainly talked when the trailer dropped and then a couple of months later, and then she just like saw some things and was like, ‘WTF?’”
After the clip was shared on Instagram, Pratt responded in the comments, disputing Kroll’s statement.
“What a joke. We are definitely not in touch and never will be,” Pratt wrote, adding crying-laughing emojis.
The ‘Southern Charm’ Star Previously Discussed Audrey Pratt Breakup on Podcast
Before appearing on “Watch What Happens Live,” Kroll also discussed the end of the relationship during an appearance on the podcast “Chicks in the Office.”
Kroll said the couple had reached a point where they began discussing what their future might look like after about a year and a half together.
“I was having conversations that I feel like normal people have after like a year and a half in of [wondering], what’s that next move?” Kroll said.
“Because I don’t want to do it any longer, you know, three years apart from one another.”
Kroll also reflected on the relationship overall.
“It was really nice for the amount of time that we did it, and then it was getting to the point of, what’s next?” he said.
Austen Kroll and Salley Carson Address Romance Buzz on ‘Southern Charm’
The “Southern Charm” season 11 finale included an update about Kroll’s dynamic with castmate Salley Carson.
An onscreen graphic stated that the two had been “hanging out and making out” since Carolina Day in June.
During the “Southern Charm” After Show, both Kroll and Carson discussed their current status.
“We’re in the exact same realm, like where that conversation was,” Kroll said. “She still will throw it out there of like, ‘Can I come home with you tonight?’ And I’m like, ‘Salley, you can’t do this every time that we hang out.’”
Carson responded to Kroll’s description of their interactions.
“I get it, but at the same time, I’m kind of like, OK, don’t make me out to be some crazy girl that’s just, like, coming on so strong to you, and it’s not reciprocated,” Carson said.
“Because it very much was reciprocated — after the breakup.”
Carson also explained that neither of them appears ready to begin a serious relationship.
“I think we’re both not ready,” Carson said. “I don’t think that we would ever go into anything unless we were super serious about each other, because we don’t want to mess up the friendship that we have.”
Kroll said they have discussed remaining friends for the time being.
“I think that Salley and I have a really good understanding of one another,” Kroll said.
“I like you a lot in all these ways, but I’m not there. And so, can we please just be friends?”
The “Southern Charm” season 11 reunion begins airing Wednesday, March 18 at 9/8c on Bravo.
