Fans who attended Day 1 of BravoCon 2025 on Nov. 14 were in for a real treat when they got a first look at the trailer for Bravo’s “Below Deck Down Under” season 4. Although viewers already met the crew during the epic crossover with “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” the exclusive preview hinted at major turbulence ahead for Captain Jason Chambers’ heads of department.
Fans are in for a drama-filled BDDU as rising egos may prove to be the biggest storm this season.
‘Below Deck Down Under’ Season 4 Preview Hints at Tension Between Department Heads
GettyDuring a panel at BravoCon 2025, fans got a first-hand look at what’s to come for season 4 of “Below Deck Down Under.” The preview was unlike any other as it focused on Captain Jason Chambers meeting his department heads ahead of their charter season in Canouan.
Fans in the audience cheered as Chambers sat down with fan-favorites, chef Ben Robinson, second officer João Franco, and chief stew Daisy Kelliher, all of whom will be a part of the new season.
“Yachting runs on leadership, teamwork, and respect. And that starts with the top,” Chambers shares. The clip then shows flashbacks to season 3, when Chambers’ heads of department constantly clashed. “I can’t have what happened last year with my heads of department at each other,” he adds.
Chambers makes it clear that he wants “professional” and experienced department heads this season because there is no “room for chaos,” but based on what’s to come, he may have spoken just a little too soon.
We then get a look at Robinson, Franco, and Kelliher in their roles this season, as they’re shown upholding the strong work ethic they’re known for.
However, the preview quickly shifts to a clash between Robinson and Kelliher in the galley, as she snaps, “Absolutely [expletive] fine. Figure it out for yourself,” before walking away. Later, she is shown speaking to Franco in her cabin about Robinson’s ego, noting how he prefers to sleep in the guest cabin and even uses it as a spot to “make out with girls.”
A Romance Blossoms Between Daisy Kelliher & João Franco
GettyAdditionally, the preview teases a romance between Kelliher and Franco. It is the first time they are meeting, and things promise to heat up between the two this season.
“João has got an agenda with Daisy. That’s a problem,” Robinson is heard stating. The clip then shows Franco and Kelliher holding hands, and the second officer lifting her and carrying her on a beach.
Fans then gasped when the preview showed Franco and Kelliher sharing a kiss!
However, their budding romance appears to get in the way of Franco’s friendship with Robinson. As fans recalled, the two worked together on season 4 of “Below Deck Med” with Captain Sandy Yawn at the helm of the Sirocco.
The end of the preview shows their friendship fallout when Robinson yells at Franco to “[expletive] off,” among other harsh comments. Hopefully, this doesn’t affect the crew’s ability to have a successful charter season, and Chambers having to face another showdown between his heads of department.
“Below Deck Down Under” season 4 will premiere on Bravo on Monday, Feb. 2.
