Bravo’s “The Valley” season 3 sees Brittany Cartwright getting her sparkle back as she undergoes a mommy makeover. The transformation includes removing and replacing the 10-year-old breast implants gifted to her by her now estranged husband, Jax Taylor.
In episode 9, Cartwright invites her closest friends over for dinner, but the night becomes an emotional one as she recounts all the pain and suffering she went through during her marriage. Thankfully, her friends know how to cheer her up, bringing her a hilarious cake that marks the end of that chapter.
Brittany Cartwright Opens up About Her Mommy Makeover on ‘The Valley’
BravoOn episode 9 of “The Valley,” Brittany Cartwright invites Michelle Saniei, Lala Kent, Janet Caperna, Jasmine Goode, Nia Sanchez, Kristen Doute, and Zack Wickman over for a seafood boil at her house the night before undergoing major surgery for a complete body makeover, or, as she calls it, a “mommy makeover” to regain her confidence.
“I’m basically getting a whole transformation,” Cartwright begins. “I’m having a tummy tuck, breast implants taken out and smaller ones put back in, 360 lipo, like y’all won’t be able to keep clothes on me,” she adds.
To ease her mind before her major surgery, Wickman brings over a cake, but not just any cake. The dessert features a grave with a tombstone reading “R.I.P. 2015-2025,” along with a pair of breasts symbolizing the end of the implants originally purchased by Jax Taylor.
As the night continues, Cartwright admits that she is “freaking out” and tears up. “It’s something I wanted for years, going through such a bad relationship,” she remarks, adding, “I was told my body looked like a tree trunk.”
While speaking about removing her implants, Cartwright tells the camera, “There’s still this like piece of him that he can kind of have claim to, because he paid for them and it’s just a part of my past that I am getting rid of.”
The following day, Cartwright has her mommy makeover, which lasts six hours. “Making this change is such a big step for me and taking my power back, and that’s a big deal,” she says.
Cartwright Details All of Her Procedures
Cartwright opened up about her mommy makeover on her “When Reality Hits” podcast in October, detailing all the procedures she had done.
Besides getting her breast implants removed and replaced, she also underwent abdominal reconstruction, liposuction, and a tummy tuck.
When speaking about her abdominal reconstruction, she shared, “What they did is they went in and they basically pulled all of my skin back from my stomach, and they completely put everything back in place… like it was before. I can already tell such a difference. I can look down, and my stomach doesn’t stick out like it used to,” she said.
Cartwright also addressed the reasoning behind her makeover, sharing, “I did this for me. It was about my confidence.”
“I really just did this as a confidence thing for me because I’m starting to feel so much better after everything I’ve been through, where I’m at. And I wanted to feel as good on the outside as I feel on the inside and I thought that was very important for my mental health,” she continued.
