‘Below Deck’s Colin MacRae Gives Update Amid Long Recovery
Taking to Instagram, MacRae shared a brief video of him in his happy place, sitting in the driver’s seat on his rebuilt Catamaran. MacRae was surrounded by blue water and his beloved dogs in the footage as he showed off his cast.
“Today is 6 weeks since I snapped my Achilles. Feels like a long way to go before I’m walking again. But it feels amazing to be back on the ocean. With my dogs and my people. I’m actually feeling less frustrated than I thought I would be. I’m at peace with the fact that it’s going to be a long road to recovery, and to just be grateful for moments like this,” the former reality TV star wrote.
MacRae confirmed that a behind-the-scenes video of how he hurt himself and the surgeries he went through can be found on his YouTube channel, Parlay Revival. Then he returned to the topic at hand: his injury update.
“I’ve found an amazing physiotherapist here in Phuket and I’m doing my daily exercises as instructed. For the most part anyway 😅. Nothing like a good old injury to tell you to slow down a little bit,” MacRae expressed.
The Bravo personality ended his message by reassuring his followers that he’s certain he will be back, better than ever, once his recovery is complete. MacRae plans to take his time healing because he never wants to take his body for granted after this injury.
