Lala Kent said goodbye to a beloved member of her family in a heartbroken Instagram tribute on October 22, 2025. The “Vanderpump Rules” star revealed in the emotional post that her longtime dog, Lilly, has passed away.
Kent began the message by declaring it a “heartbreaking day” before breaking the news that she had to “make peace with letting Lilly go.”
The 35-year-old continued her tribute, “I don’t even know where to begin. I just want to thank her. She loved me unconditionally. She was there when I couldn’t get out of bed. There when I got sober. There when I became a mom. She was my soulmate. I feel like I blinked and my time was up with her. Today she takes a piece of my heart with her. I will miss her dearly. Lilly, without you my journey would not be so beautiful.”
Kent finished the message by attributing her triumph over addiction to the constant companionship of the pooch, acknowledging, “Without you, I would not be able to celebrate 7 years of sobriety. I feel blessed to have had you. Rest in puppy paradise, sweet girl.”

Along with the announcement, Kent shared a slideshow of photos depicting fond memories with the pet. In one, she and Lilly lounge in an inflatable boat while enjoying some pool time. In another, a pregnant Kent strolls down the street with the black lab leading the way.

Fans know Kent and Shay haven’t always gotten along, but Kent had a positive update during the October 21 Amazon Live stream. Bravo says Kent revealed the women’s daughters are “still on really good terms,” and that the rift between their mothers hasn’t affected their friendship.
“Summer and Ocean are still friends,” she declared, referring to their pre-school-aged girls. She went on, “They’re cute little friends. They have a heyday at school, which I love, because they’ve known each other literally since birth. That’s a friendship that needs to stay incubated and protected to the best of our ability.”
