Salley Carson Gives an Update on Her Flirtatious Relationship With Austen Kroll
BravoSalley Carson isn’t shy about wanting to explore a romance with Austen Kroll on “Southern Charm,” after learning that he and his girlfriend, Audrey Pratt, had broken up. While fans have to wait and see just how their relationship progresses in the new season (though the trailer hints at the two sharing a steamy kiss), Carson recently revealed where she stands with Kroll today and if they are actually dating.
During an appearance on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast on Feb. 17, Carson shared that she was looking for a “serious” relationship, with host Amanda Hirsch asking if she could actually see that unfold with Kroll.
“I do, but not right now,” Carson admitted. “I think we have such a good friendship, and we rely on each other a lot, and we support each other a lot. And I think we both like what we have right now,” she added.
Carson told the host that she and Kroll “talk every day,” which prompted Hirsch to boldly ask, “So there’s no hooking up?” With a knowing smile, Carson admitted, “There’s a little bit, yeah — there’s a little bit of messing around.”
She continued, “I don’t really think we’re ready for each other right now. It could be something in the future. I do think that. I think all of our castmates would feel the same.”
Kroll Confirmed His Split With Audrey Pratt in November 2025
GettyKroll confirmed with People during BravoCon 2025 that he was no longer dating Audrey Pratt. The reality star also hinted that fans would see the breakdown of their relationship in the new season.
“Coming into this year, I’ve been dating a girl — when the season starts — for a year and change, and I’m in it. And then it starts to beg the question, ‘Really, what is the next step?'” He shared.
He continued, “So, I just have to talk out this with family and friends. You have to hear the outside noise from friends, which is what makes it hardest on a TV show because unwanted opinions and things start to seep in. But, the relationship was a casualty this year.”
In a more recent discussion about his relationship with Carson, Kroll shared with Nick Viall on his “The Viall Files” podcast in January that he and his co-star are not dating, but he “really, really like[s] where me and Salley are” today.
“Salley and I grow close, and we are close now,” Kroll shared. “Like, she’s texting me, I’ve been texting her. And we have become close. But no, we’re not dating, anything like that.”
