Craig Conover Shares Major Career Update After Questioning His Future on ‘Southern Charm’

Craig Conover is focusing on new opportunities following a challenging season of “Southern Charm.” The longtime Bravo star is balancing multiple projects, including a growing business and a new venture in television production.

Conover has appeared on “Southern Charm” since its 2014 premiere and has expanded his presence across Bravo with appearances on “Summer House” and “Winter House.” Now, he is continuing to build his career beyond reality television.

Craig Conover Expands Career With Production Company and New Representation

Conover recently confirmed a major professional move, sharing that he has signed with Innovative Artists Entertainment for representation. He acknowledged the milestone by resharing Deadline’s report and captioning it, “Go.”

The announcement comes as Conover continues to develop his production company, Plaid Horse Productions. The company focuses on unscripted series, competition shows, and social experiments.

“I love the production side. I love making television and sharing my life with people,” Conover told GQ. “I just don’t want this to be my only thing. After 12 years, there are more stories to be told.”

He also described how his background in law connects to his current work. “For a lot of my law background… you’re just telling a story to the jury,” Conover said. “So, I’m excited.”

Conover added that he is actively developing new projects. “We’ve got three concepts on the unscripted side right now. It will either work or it won’t, but you can’t wait for permission in life.”

The Sewing Down South Founder Balances Family Time and ‘Southern Charm’ Future

Outside of work, Conover has been sharing moments from his personal life. He recently posted photos from a trip to Los Angeles, where he visited production studios and reviewed scripts.

“Head down, dreams loading,” he wrote on Instagram.

He also spent time with family in Delaware over Easter, sharing a video of himself playing catch with his father. “Back to the beginning,” he captioned the post.

At the same time, Conover addressed tensions from season 11 of “Southern Charm,” which included a heated reunion discussion.

“You guys have villainized vulnerability so unfortunately I’m not going to be vulnerable with you guys anymore,” Conover said during the reunion.

He later questioned his future on the show. “Maybe this isn’t right for me,” he said. “Maybe I just shouldn’t be here.”

Conover added that he hopes to find a way to continue enjoying the experience. “I would love to figure out a way to enjoy this again and not feel like I’m always [against everyone], even if it’s in my own head.”

Fans can stream season 11 of “The Southern Charm” on Peacock.

  1. Craig, you’re better than bravo. They’re paid to be mean, but Venita and Austin dig deeper to be on tv. Venita is viscous even her mother agrees she’s off on the loyal department. Get out on top.

  2. Good for you, Craig. Questioning everything. That’s what real human growth does to people who embrace Adulthood. You’ve already cleared the biggest obstacle of all: change. You’re on your way! Good luck and SO glad you’ve come to realize the wisdom of your parents and a calm, simple, but making-it-exciting life.‼️.

  3. Good for you Craig!!! We’ve been a fan of you from day one on the show. You were and still are the best looking guy on the show. You’ve grown up on the show. You’ve passed the Bar and are a attorney. But everybody laughed at your passion for sewing. But laugh at them all. Cause you my friend did it all on your own. A self multi millionaire and still going strong. Not one of those guys has any idea how much you loved Paige. While they were still doing the same old nothing. You were making your millions. I would get back on the show and show them all what a great man you really are. When you wete with Paige Austin had a problem with that. And now that your single ready to mingle Austin’s green eyed monster came out cause as usual you get all of the girls. I say they all should watch back this season. And see what a loser Austin is. How dare him running back to Sally and telling her what you said to him in private to a supposley your good friend . He started the ball rolling for you to lose Charley ( whos not worth the time of day) after that relationship was over Sally did her number on Charley. There was just way to much jealously between Sally and Charley and Austin and Craig. But Craig you will find your wife very soon and have the real grown up life that you stride towards. You not the best looking man on the whole show. And your a very successful man. Patricia’s son is also a loser living off of his dad’s trust fund. And his mom signed it all over to him. And Shep has never worked a day in his life, also living off of his dad’s Trust fund. And the new attorney should really keep his mouth shut cause he knows nothing of what’s been going on for years. So we millions of your fans are 100% for Craig Conover!!!! The self multi millionaire who’s still going hard to work up to get on that billionaire LIST..PERIOD
PS WE ALL KNOW YOU WILL MAKE THAT LIST.
GOD bless you Craig and may our Jesus alway protect you morning noon and late night !!!time

  4. They come after you because they have nothing going on. There is a lots of gas lighting, manipulation (Sally/Austin) and deflecting on these reality shows. I hope you stay and they get a life. Please be safe with drinking, it’s a slippery slope.
