Allie Eklund is speaking out after her breakup with Steven McBee Jr., following his public claims that she cheated during the Stagecoach Festival. The response comes after the Bravo star shared his version of events online and confirmed that the relationship had ended.
Allie Eklund Responds to Steven McBee Jr.’s Claims
Eklund addressed the situation in a public statement, pushing back on McBee’s accusations and explaining why she did not respond immediately.
“This is really sad to see and I’m genuinely at a loss for words,” Eklund said on her Instagram stories. “Posting everything online before we talked is extremely disheartening and extremely unfair considering I’ve protected Steven many times during the course of our relationship.”
She said she plans to share her side after her integrity was questioned.
“Because my integrity has been called into question, I’ll post the video that Steven was sent while I was at Stagecoach with a group of friends,” she continued.
Eklund also addressed her decision to delay responding to McBee.
“I chose not to respond to him immediately because he has a history of verbally abusing me while he’s in a heightened emotional state and I felt it was more appropriate to have a private, level headed conversation once emotions had settled,” she said.
She added that the situation became public before that could happen.
“Unfortunately, that opportunity wasn’t given to me before he decided to make this situation public and it’s even more disappointing that he made references to promote his tv show, as this situation is very real for me and my family, who prefer to live privately,” Eklund said.
She also said she has handled the relationship privately.
“I don’t typically feel the need to defend myself online and it’s genuinely upsetting that it’s reached this point. I’ve handled everything in this relationship privately and with respect, even when it hasn’t been easy,” she said.
Eklund concluded her statement by saying she does not want to escalate the situation.
“This situation is painful and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone. I’m not looking to escalate things any further, I’d like this to end here. I’ve said what feels necessary in response to his actions and I plan on taking time to process and move forward.”
Eklund later shared video footage from Stagecoach and screenshots of messages she said she received, including accusations about her behavior.
Steven McBee Jr. Previously Shared His Side of Breakup
McBee had earlier said he ended the relationship after receiving multiple messages that raised concerns about Eklund’s behavior while he was away. He said he left California early and began receiving direct messages the next day.
According to McBee, the messages included claims that Eklund acted inappropriately, along with information about the person she was allegedly with. He said hearing similar claims from more than one source led him to believe the situation.
McBee confirmed that he is now single and acknowledged that he reacted quickly by sharing information publicly.
“She’s a good person and I wish I wouldn’t have posted on social media,” McBee said on Instagram. “I’m not good at holding my emotions in check at the moment. Especially waking up to that. But I was just so mind-blown waking up this morning. I was just with her yesterday, and we were talking about how big of a year we were gonna have and the house we wanted to build together. Crazy.”
McBee also reflected on the relationship and his own behavior.
“I’m extremely Type A and get stressed, have mood swings. So in her defense, I’m not the easiest guy to be with, and I don’t want this to completely destroy her – but I am just absolutely mind blown that this happened,” he said. “The only reason I went to Stagecoach was because I was nervous about how attention-starved she is all the time.”
Eklund reportedly filmed for season 3 of “The McBee Dynasty” which is set to premiere later this year on Bravo.
