Hough and Erbert posted a joint Instagram announcement featuring a black-and-white photo of their daughter’s feet. “December 29, 2025. Everley Capri Hough,” they wrote the caption. “Every step of our lives has led us to you. Our hearts have been cracked wide open, and our world is forever changed.”
Their daughter’s name is Everley Capri Hough, and it’s a stunning choice that’s also incredibly meaningful. The name Everley is a “gender-neutral baby name of British origin,” The Bump reports. “This baby name directly translates to ‘boar’ and ‘woodland clearing.’”
The meaning behind the name Capri is described as “a feminine name of Italian origin,” The Bump reports. “The modern name depicts the charm of the colorful Italian island located just off the mainland’s west coast.” Together, the names sound really pretty and have a natural, earthy meaning.
Baby Hough’s initials are ECH, and her proud dad has already added them to his Instagram bio. The DWTS judge had hinted at his daughter’s arrival just days ago, when he made a subtle change on Instagram. Hough’s Instagram bio reads, “ECH, 4 X Emmy Award Winner, 6 X DWTS Champion, NYT Best Selling Author, LIVE ON TOUR.”
Days earlier, he added his daughter’s initials and removed the sentence “soon to be Daddy,” generating excitement among fans, who felt it signalled the birth of their child. Little did the world know that Hough and Erbert are very good at keeping secrets, and their daughter is already one week old.
