“Dancing With the Stars” pro Sasha Farber has lived in many different places throughout his life. Now that he calls Los Angeles his home, he doesn’t see his parents as often as he would like.
However, the 42-year-old recently showed off a fun outing with his parents in honor of his father’s birthday. Fans rallied around the dancer, pleased to see a glimpse inside his personal life.
Sasha Farber Celebrates His Father’s Birthday With a Sweet Photo
Sasha Farber was born in the Soviet Union in 1984. When he was two years old, his family emigrated to Australia, where he grew up and learned the art of professional dance. As of 2020, Sasha Farber holds American citizenship.
Though his career has taken him all over the world, Sasha feels thankful for any opportunity he gets to spend with his family.
“So grateful for these [moments], today is my dad’s birthday ❤️🥹” the professional dancer shared on Instagram. He attached a sweet photo of himself sitting on a bench with his parents. Plenty of Sasha’s friends and colleagues from “Dancing With the Stars” sent well-wishes, including his ex-wife, Emma Slater.
Earlier in the year, the dancer shared a photo of his family visiting the Santa Monica Pier.
“This is the definition of the perfect day 😍 #Family,” Sasha captioned the Instagram post as they all happily posed.
Sasha Farber doesn’t post about his family often, but he does share his home with his two dogs, Grinch and Ruby. Lately, his girlfriend, Janel Parrish, has been making frequent appearances on his social media profile.
The Dancer Finds Love Again After His Divorce
“Dancing With the Stars” fans fell in love with Sasha Farber and Emma Slater’s romance. He proposed onstage during a season 23 episode, much to viewers’ delight. They married in 2018 before formally divorcing in 2024.
Working with an ex sounds awkward, but Emma and Sasha have always supported one another. In fact, she even publicly showed support for his newfound love with “Pretty Little Liars” actress, Janel Parrish.
In an Instagram post, Sasha noted how “amazing” his April had been. He attached several photos of various outings he spent with Janel.
“Love this!!!!!!! ❤️❤️😍😍😍” Emma Slater wrote in the comments, gushing over the couple. Other “Dancing With the Stars” pros fawned over the couple, delighted they were finally “hard launching” their relationship.
DWTS Fans Want to See Sasha Farber Compete Again
Sasha Farber competed with Jenn Tran in DWTS season 33. The couple went on to share a brief romance before splitting a year later. He didn’t compete with a celebrity partner in season 34, though many fans spotted him around the ballroom on screen and on his colleagues’ social media posts.
It’s too soon to say whether or not Sasha Farber will receive a celebrity partner for season 35. However, his fans would love to see him finally earn his first Mirrorball trophy this year.
Fans can tune into the premiere of “Dancing With the Stars: The Next Pro” starting on Monday, July 13 on ABC. The season 35 premiere will follow in the fall.
