Kylie Jenner is starting her 29th birthday celebration on a fashionable note.
The Kylie Cosmetics founder embraced a head-to-toe pink look for a princess-kitty-themed pre-party, complete with a fitted minidress, feathered accessories and coordinating beauty details.
Kylie shared photos from the August 7 celebration through her Instagram Stories, giving fans a closer look at her birthday outfit.
According to InStyle, the 28-year-old wore a hot-pink halter minidress with a plunging neckline and simple bodycon silhouette.
The bold color and curve-hugging fit allowed the accessories to become the focus of the playful ensemble. Kylie described the gathering as her “pre-bday princess kitty party.”
The Accessories Brought Y2K Energy

She paired the dress with white peep-toe kitten heels featuring feather accents across the toes. The shoes also revealed her deep-pink pedicure, which coordinated with her outfit.
Kylie completed the look with a pink feather boa and a fuzzy birthday crown.
The whimsical accessories gave the otherwise streamlined dress a nostalgic Y2K feel. The monochromatic palette also recalled the glamorous pink wardrobes associated with Barbie and Elle Woods in “Legally Blonde.”
Her Beauty Look Matched the Dress
Kylie continued the pink color story with her manicure.
Before the party, the Kylie Skin founder showed off pointed nails painted in the same glossy hot-pink shade as her dress.
She kept the rest of her beauty look relatively understated. Kylie wore her long black hair straight and opted for black mascara and a light brown lip.
The neutral makeup helped balance the bold outfit while allowing the pink dress, manicure and accessories to remain the center of attention.
The Cakes Followed the Theme
Kylie’s outfit was not the only fashion-inspired detail at her party.
The mother of two also shared photos of three cakes her friends selected for the celebration.
“My friends got me the cutest cakes,” Kylie wrote alongside a close-up of the dessert table. One white cake was covered with multicolored gem-like decorations. Another pink cake featured cat illustrations and the message, “Happy Birthday Kitty Kylie.”
The third cake was shaped like a model wearing a strappy pink bikini. It featured edible glitter, frosting that resembled lace and the word “meow” written across the top and bottoms.
A Nod to Kylie’s Summer Style
The bikini cake appeared to reference several of Kylie’s swimwear looks from earlier in the summer.
During a June trip to Turks and Caicos, Kylie wore multiple bold swimsuits, including a baby-pink string bikini, a camouflage thong bikini and a black leather design.
Her birthday outfit also continued her longtime connection to the color pink. Kylie has frequently returned to the shade throughout her fashion and beauty eras, from her colorful “King Kylie” days to her more recent monochromatic looks.
Kylie officially turns 29 on August 10, meaning her princess-kitty party may only be the beginning of her birthday fashion moments.
