In an Instagram post, Sweeney teased “Best Served Cold: A Hannah Swensen Mystery” with photos and some sweet words for those who worked on the film with her. The photos were filled with behind-the-scenes moments with her costars and her crew.
One of the pictures featured Sweeney and Victor Webster (Chad) watching something with fellow Hallmark actor-turned-director Peter Benson. The latter has appeared in movies such as “A Bride for Christmas” and “Signed, Sealed, Delivered: Home Again,” among others.
Another photo showed Sweeney posing with her on-screen mom, Barbara Niven (Delores), and on-screen sister, Tess Atkins (Michelle). There are also several images of the “Days of Our Lives” star in Hannah mode, baking and sleuthing.
“Tonight’s the premiere of the ALL NEW #HannahSwensen: Best Served Cold on @hallmarkchannel !!! We had such fun making this movie and I wanted to say a special thank you to every single person on the cast and crew! I feel so blessed to share this experience with you! 🕵🏼♀️💗 🎥,” Sweeney wrote as her caption.
Hallmark star and now “General Hospital” star Jonathan Bennett showed up in the comments to leave clapping emojis to show his excitement for Sweeney’s latest movie.
Benson also used Instagram to gush over how amazing it was to work on this project. “So lucky to work with this incredibly talented #HannahSwensen team! Big shoutout to @alisweeney @barbaraniven @iamvictorwebster and the rest of our very hardworking cast and crew!! What a team!! In an exclusive interview with Entertainment Now, Sweeney shared her thoughts on the franchise’s success and revealed just how much longer she planned to play Hannah. It’s good news for fans because Sweeny loves playing her mystery-solving alter ego and hopes to keep doing so for years to come.
Alison Sweeney Wears Many Hats in Hit Hallmark Franchise
The “Days of Our Lives” fan favorite doesn’t just star as Hannah in the hit Hallmark movies. Sweeney has a lot of different jobs, and she loves every single one of them.
Along with acting in the franchise, she is also a producer and a writer for the Hannah Swensen films. The actress admitted in a promo for “Best Served Cold: A Hannah Swensen Mystery” that she absolutely loves writing as well as scouting locations for filming.
One of the people Sweeney enjoys writing for the most is Niven, who she calls the best. “I can picture Barbara saying some of the lines like in my mind,” she gushed.
Despite having various jobs on the series, Sweeney still enjoys acting in it just as much as when she began playing Hannah over a decade ago.
“Getting to play this role. Getting to be Hannah, I just feel so blessed,” Sweeney expressed.
