While plenty of shows have come and gone on the Hallmark Channel over the years, there are quite a few that fans would love to see make a triumphant comeback. Frankly, some of the series’ stars feel the same way.
That includes Catherine Bell, who charmed viewers as Cassie Nightingale on “Good Witch,” and has just shared something very exciting about a potential reboot in the form of a new movie.
‘Good Witch’ Enchanted Fans with Multiple Movies & a Series
HallmarkFirst delighting those who saw the story begin in 2008 when it originally hit screens as a TV movie, “Good Witch” ended up with multiple films along with a show that ran until 2021.
The movies featured Cassie, a woman with a supernatural skill, as she deals with various experiences and people that came into (and some who left) her life. If you haven’t seen them yet, then be sure to start with “The Good Witch” (2008), before moving on to “The Good Witch’s Garden” (2009), “The Good Witch’s Gift” (2010) and “The Good Witch’s Family” (2011). After that, pop on “The Good Witch’s Charm” (2012), “The Good Witch’s Destiny” (2013) and “The Good Witch’s Wonder” (2014).
Of course, we’re not done yet! You’ll also want to check out “Good Witch Halloween” (2015), “Good Witch: Secrets of Grey’s House” (2016) and “Good Witch: Spellbound” (2017), as well as “Good Witch: A Tale of Two Hearts” (2018) and “Good Witch: Curse from a Rose” (2019). If you’ve seen them all, then now might be the perfect time to rewatch each and let yourself be swept up in the enchantment all over again.
As for the show, it entertained fans by focusing on Cassie and her teenage daughter Grace (Bailee Madison), who are both gifted with a special intuition. Fans watched as they meet and get to know Dr. Sam Radford (James Denton) and his son, Nick (Rhys Matthew Bond), who move from New York to Middleton. As the series progressed, the group face challenges, drama and romance, as well as a touch of magic.
While the movies saw Bell working alongside Chris Potter, the show also featured performances by Catherine Disher, Sarah Power, Kylee Evans, Katherine Barrell, Marc Bendavid, Scott Cavelheiro and Peter MacNeill, among others.
Of course, as the good witch herself, you’re surely interested in an update from Bell about the future of the franchise, and what she has to say is, in fact, super exciting!
The ‘Good Witch’ Story Might Not Be Over
HallmarkBell provided fans with an intriguing insight during a “Good Witch” panel which recently took place at Big Lick Comic-Con in Roanoke, Virginia. During a portion of the event when the star was answering questions posed by those in attendance, Bell was asked…
*BUT WAIT! Before you continue, you should know that there’s a series finale spoiler ahead!*
As we were saying, Bell was asked why the show ended with Stephanie (Evans) and Adam (Cavelheiro) seeing a happily-ever-after kind of outcome, but Abigail (Power) and Donovan (Bendavid) didn’t get the same. Bell had a very good and incredibly exciting answer!
It turns out that the characters’ stories might not be fully wrapped up and may actually continue even though the series ended a few years ago.
“We’re hoping to bring back a movie at some point soon, and we’re hoping to take it back to the original ways that Good Witch started,” Bell explained according to Collider.
She also noted, “But, I think those are just network decisions, and I couldn’t answer that.”
