Now that you’ve watched “Cut, Color, Murder,” you’ll know that the story ends with a cliffhanger. While it’s something that many viewers happened to adore, it also brought up a very good question.

Indeed, when fans of the movie left comments on Hallmark’s YouTube channel, one person wrote, “Excellent cliffhanger at the end! Love Julie Gonzalo in her movies! Such good acting!”

Another person added, “I really want to see a part 2 come out…they left us at an awesome cliff hanger 😫”

A third viewer popped in a similar message, writing, “Such a good movie. Come on Hallmark, where’s the second one?”

Well, we have a bit of bad news. As it stands, Hallmark has not revealed any plans for a sequel. While this is certainly disappointing for fans of the story and anyone who wants to know what happens after the cliffhanger, there are a few reasons why a follow-up may not have worked out.

For instance, one person took to Reddit to share their speculation, saying, “Julie had a baby a few months after this came out. And then..it felt that Hallmark was flip flopping on Mysteries. Then, there was the writers and actors strikes.”

Although those might have been reasons that prevented another movie in the past, perhaps there’s still hope for a sequel in the future.
