Melissa Peterman Reunites With a Beloved Hallmark Hunk & Fans Are Loving It

Melissa Peterman just delighted Hallmark fans with a sweet reunion that brought back memories of one of television’s most beloved sitcom pairings. The actress recently shared photos with Peter Porte, and fans were thrilled to see the longtime friends together again.

Peterman and Porte’s friendship dates back more than a decade to the Freeform sitcom “Baby Daddy,” where Porte played Brad Walker, the charming love interest (and eventual husband) to Peterman’s character, Bonnie Wheeler. Porte is also well known to soap opera fans for portraying Ricky Williams on “The Young and the Restless” and Dimitri Von Leuschner on “Days of Our Lives.” Peterman and Porte even host “The Melissa Peter Man Podcast” together alongside comedian Chris Voth.

Although Peterman and Porte have never appeared together for a Hallmark project, both have become favorites among the network’s loyal audience. Porte has headlined a number of Hallmark romances over the years, such as 2017’s “A Gift to Remember,” while Peterman has won over viewers with her scene-stealing performances in the “Haul Out the Holly” films and as host on the unscripted holiday competition series “Finding Mr. Christmas.”

Their latest reunion was a fun reminder of their adorable off-screen friendship, leaving plenty of Hallmark fans wishing the pair would finally team up for one of the network’s movies.

“From TV boyfriend to TV husband to real life best friend it’s death do us part baby!” Peterman wrote in the caption of her April 2 Instagram reel, featuring on and off-screen memories of the pair over the years. “Happy Birthday Peter Porte! I love doing everything and nothing with you! I hope you have a fantastic day but hurry home!”

Porte Recently Starred Opposite Fan-Favorite Lyndsy Fonseca

Porte’s most recent Hallmark project is “The Love Heist,” which premiered on June 20 as part of Hallmark Channel’s annual “Summer Nights” programming event.

“The Love Heist” follows celebrity stylist Kayli (Fonseca), who must team up with hotel security chief Mills (Porte) “to track down an iconic piece of fashion history after it goes missing on her watch before the Chicago Costume Gala,” per the official synopsis on Hallmark Channel.

When asked three words to describe this film, Porte admitted that he’s never done a Hallmark project like this one before. “What are three words I would use to describe this film? Fresh! I don’t think I’ve ever done a Hallmark like this before. So fresh. Exciting. Spicy. And very, very romantic. We’ve got some incredible locations we’re shooting in, some really beautiful sets, and an impossibly gorgeous leading lady,” Porte said.
