2026 is shaping up to be a jam-packed year for one of Hallmark Channel’s biggest stars, Nikki DeLoach. Days after the network announced DeLoach will host its first-ever, two-week Hallmark Stars Live tour this summer, Netflix announced the actress has also joined the cast of its upcoming series, “Poser.”
DeLoach, the star of over two dozen Hallmark movies in the last decade, posted about her new gig via social media on March 27, 2026, noting that she is “deeply grateful and thrilled to be joining the ‘Poser’ family on Netflix!” Fans and famous friends flooded the “Curious Caterer” star with celebratory comments, equally thrilled for her success.
Nikki DeLoach’s Netflix Role is Among Several Projects in the Works
HallmarkOn March 26, Deadline reported that DeLoach is one of 17 actors added to the “Poser” cast, in addition to previously announced cast members Daisy Jelley, Sadie Stanley, and Annie Murphy.
The eight-episode YA (young adult) drama was created and written by Lauren Iungerich, who also created and wrote the MTV series “Awkward,” which DeLoach starred in from 2011 to 2016. Little is known about the new character DeLoach will play, other than that her name is Lacey. Interestingly, her character in “Awkward” was wonderfully complicated mom Lacey Hamilton.
Deadline described the new show as an exploration of “toxic female friendship through the lens of a sexy, emotional thriller” and that it “centers around two estranged, former best friends.”
DeLoach wrote in her March 27 Instagram post about her Netflix role, “What a treat to work alongside this incredibly talented cast and to be reunited with ‘Awkward’ creator, Lauren Iungerich. Stay tuned! ❤️✨”
Production is already underway in Los Angeles, per Deadline, but it’s clear that’s not the only thing DeLoach is filming. She has been periodically posting Instagram Stories from Greece over the last week, shooting another yet-to-be-announced project.
In addition, Hallmark is expected to release two new “True Justice” movies later this year, with a cast that includes DeLoach, Katherine McNamara and Markian Tarasiuk, and Benjamin Ayres. Filmed in early 2025, DeLoach and her writing partner, Megan McNulty, wrote the follow-ups to 2024’s “True Justice: Family Ties.”

DeLoach’s “A Grand Ole Opry Christmas” co-stars weighed in, too. Eliza Hayes Maher commented, “yes ma’am. ❣️” Sharon Lawrence wrote, “Runnin’ on all cylinders, lady!!” And Kristoffer Polaha exclaimed, “Boom!”
According to What’s On Netflix, filming of “Poser” is expected to last until June, which makes a release date in 2027 likely.

Hope she’s not leaving Hallmark she’s one of my favorite
Does that mean no more Curious Caterer?
