Like every season of “The Way Home,” season 4 of the series started off with a bang. On Sunday, April 19, the first episode of the Hallmark time-traveling series went live, and showed just how much the series has in store for its final chapter.
And, as fans continue to tune in to the premiere episode, new teaser are showing a glimpse of episode 2, which airs on the Hallmark channel this Sunday.
Del and Colton Have a Major Secret in ‘The Way Home’
On Instagram, Hallmark shared a glimpse of season 4’s second episode and it already has fans reeling.
The teaser starts off with Del (Andie MacDowell) looking back at a picture of herself from the ’70s.
“Some pacts and promises have a shelf life,” she says. Elliot (Evan William) is seemingly across from her on the table looking at the picture. “Who’s been torn out?” he asks.
In the next moment, Kat (Chyler Leigh) exits the pond and meets young Fern Landry (Bianca Melchior) for the first time. “Here you are!” she says, before clarifying she’s in “the summer of 1925.”
After that, Del and her husband Colton (Jefferson Brown) are having a tense conversation. “We both know there’s more to Tessa leaving,” Del tells her husband. “We don’t, not for sure,” he says.
As a reminder, Tessa is Elliot’s mom who, up until the end of season 2, everyone though she had just abandoned him when he was a baby. Instead, however, it seems Tessa was time-traveling and is even the subject of Fern Landry’s song, “65 in 25.”
Speaking of Tessa, Alice also does some digging on her when she travels back to the ’70s. “The last time I was here, I met this girl,” she says to the Coyle’s owner, Jasper Coyle (Eli Ham).
In another moment in the teaser, Colton seems angry with Del around a bonfire. “Let it go, Delly,” he says, tearing up a photo. “This has to be our secret.”
In the last scene, Kat is still wet from the pond after coming back from the ’20s. “You went there!” Elliot asks. “Did you find her?”
Fans Can’t Wait for the New Episode
HallmarkWith a series this full of twists and turns, it’s no wonder that viewers are already at the edge of their seats to find out some answers. Did Kat get any closer to finding out where Tessa went? What major secret did Del and Colton keep?
In the comment section, fans are sharing their excitement, as well as some theories.
“Somehow we got zero answers and a ton more questions but I’m here for it 😂 completely worth the wait,” wrote one commenter. “I’ve missed everyone so much 🥲.”
“Can’t wait to watch new episode of the way home this Sunday it’s gonna be epic episode,” echoed another.
As for the theories, viewers seem to be more confused than ever. “Why is the CLOCK 🕰️ moving BACK?!” asked one viewer. “This is why Del [was] getting the letters,” one fan theorized. “[It had] nothing to do with Jacob coming home.”
Episode 2 of ‘The Way Home’ Season 4 airs on Sunday, April 26, on the Hallmark Channel. The episode will be available to stream on Hallmark+ the next day.
