The final season of the Hallmark hit series “The Way Home” is barreling right along. Season 4 Episode 5 is up next, and based on the latest teasers, Kat (Chyler Leigh) and Elliot (Evan Williams) have some unexpected experiences.
Elliot Gets a Glimpse of Tessa in ‘The Way Home’ Sneak Peek
Hallmark has been keeping “The Way Home” fans engaged with jaw-dropping preview videos. In one of the teasers, Elliot and Alice (Sadie Laflamme-Snow) find themselves in the wrong time, which Alice says in the clip.
They arrive at the Laundry farm in 1979 to see Tessa (Hannah Storey) and Evelyn (Devin Cechetto) excited to take Dell (Julia Tomasone) to a picnic at the Augustine home. Unfortunately, Colton (Jordan Doww) stops them in their tracks.
“It’s not a good time right now,” he declares, only to have Evelyn reply, “No. Cole. Please, no.” Colton breaks down as Evelyn tells him to be strong for Dell, indicating she had a miscarriage. The moment was predicted in Season 4, Episode 4, when Alice learned Dell was pregnant in 1979.
Alice and Elliot are filled with heartbreak as they watch and listen from afar so that no one sees them. It’s a tearjerker of a moment, which means “The Way Home” fans better have tissues ready for Sunday night’s episode.
Kat Is In Over Her Head on ‘The Way Home’
In another sneak peek, Kat has returned to 1925, but things aren’t going well for her there. Grayson Goodwin (Gabriel Hogan) is very skeptical of Kat. When she admits that she’s just a good friend who is like family to Fern (Bianca Melchior), Grayson grows even more suspicious of her.
Grayson wants to know why Fern trusts Kat so much because there’s been nothing but trouble since she arrived in Port Haven. Then he recounts the various raids that coincide with Kat just suddenly popping up in town.
When Kat tries to place the blame for the raids on the new inspector Cliff (Dan Jeannotte), Grayson alludes that she could be working for him. After all, Cliff and Kat showed up in Port Haven on the same day.
The insinuation gets Kat riled up. “Well, what if I did? Aren’t you just an innocent spectator to all the bootlegging going on around here? I mean, if you’re not involved, then why care?” she asked.
Grayson plays it off like his concern is all about having a successful business in Port Haven, and the messiness around Kat could hurt that, especially the film industry he’s trying to get going in town. Things take a turn when Kat admits she knows Cassandra was his sister’s name, hitting a nerve with Grayson.
The tension mounts as Grayson declares they should have a drink and get to know each other better. Grayson’s demeanor changes and hints at trouble for Kat. One thing is for sure. Kat definitely shouldn’t take a drink from him.
Fans will have to tune in on Sunday at 9/8c on Hallmark to find out what happens to Kat in 1925, as well as to Alice and Elliot in 1979.
