Hallmarkโs next episode of โThe Way Homeโ will feature someone already familiar to fans but who hasnโt been on the show before. โA Royal Settingโ star Dan Jeannotte will play Cliff Kane, the new temperance inspector for Port Haven.
Dan Jeannotte Teased His ‘Familiar Mustache’ Would Appear in Episode 2 of ‘The Way Home’
As โThe Way Homeโ fans have learned, Kat (Chyler Leigh) has found herself back in 1925. That means new mysteries and new faces for both the Landry family and viewers.
On April 19, Jeannotte took to his Instagram Stories to hype the premiere for the fourth and final season. He also included a teaser about his upcoming role.ย
Jeannette said, โThe Way Homeโ was โA lovely show made by beautiful people!โ He added, โStick around for episode 2 next weekend and you might spot a familiar mustache.โ
The news that Jeannotte was joining the show was actually announced via People in February.
Fans have already met Bianca Melchoir, who plays Fern Landry in 1925. As People noted, Jeannotte and actor Gabriel Hogan would have roles in season 4, as well.ย
Hallmark viewers may recognize Hogan from the recent Hallmark movieย โRomance on Hope Ranch,โ where he co-starred with Alison Sweeney.
In February, Jeannotte shared screenshots of the People announcement via his Instagram page. His fans were thrilled for him.
One fan gushed, โCounting down the days til people get to meet our Monsieur Inspector! You are so brilliant and so talented and I canโt wait to toast you with some giggly juice SOON!!โ
The ‘Royal Setting’ Star Couldn’t Say Much About His New Character
In March, Jeannotte spoke to Pop Culture Planet about his new role. He said the gig was โReally fun to do.โ
He explained that working on โThe Way Homeโ was great, โNot just because of the costume and the era, which was great, but also it was a wonderfully warm set.โ
Jeannette continued, โWhen you come into a show thatโs been up and running for a while, you donโt know what itโll be like to come in. Everybodyโs dynamic is established and everything.โ
It seems that Jeannette need not have worried for a moment. He shared, โThis was one of the friendliest sets that Iโve been on. It was so lovely. Everybody was so welcoming.โ
While Jeannotte couldnโt reveal much about his character, he did tease, โAll I can say is that my character is intertwined somehow with the Landry family, but I canโt really say how.โ
โI got to do some really lovely work. Itโs romantic, itโs exciting, itโs dangerous. Iโm super excited to see it,โ the actor swooned.
Episode 2 of “The Way Home” season 4 is titled “Blinded by the Light.” Hallmark teases, “When Kat finds herself in a new era of Port Haven history, new mysteries unfold.”
In addition, “Meanwhile, Alice revisits a familiar time, and Del tries to help Elliot.”
It has not yet been revealed how many episodes of “The Way Home” will include Jeannotte in this final season. In fact, the role doesn’t even appear on his IMDb page yet.
However, based on what Jeannotte has said about his character and his experience on set, it sounds as if his fans have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming episodes.

Love him. That mustache is famous playing Sam Kirk, James T. Kirk’s brother, on Star Trek Strange New Worlds. I love when being a Heartie and a Trekkie come together. My two favorite things.
