Hallmark’s next episode of “The Way Home” will feature someone already familiar to fans but who hasn’t been on the show before. “A Royal Setting” star Dan Jeannotte will play Cliff Kane, the new temperance inspector for Port Haven.
Dan Jeannotte Teased His ‘Familiar Mustache’ Would Appear in Episode 2 of ‘The Way Home’
As “The Way Home” fans have learned, Kat (Chyler Leigh) has found herself back in 1925. That means new mysteries and new faces for both the Landry family and viewers.
On April 19, Jeannotte took to his Instagram Stories to hype the premiere for the fourth and final season. He also included a teaser about his upcoming role.
Jeannette said, “The Way Home” was “A lovely show made by beautiful people!” He added, “Stick around for episode 2 next weekend and you might spot a familiar mustache.”
The news that Jeannotte was joining the show was actually announced via People in February.
Fans have already met Bianca Melchoir, who plays Fern Landry in 1925. As People noted, Jeannotte and actor Gabriel Hogan would have roles in season 4, as well.
Hallmark viewers may recognize Hogan from the recent Hallmark movie “Romance on Hope Ranch,” where he co-starred with Alison Sweeney.
In February, Jeannotte shared screenshots of the People announcement via his Instagram page. His fans were thrilled for him.
One fan gushed, “Counting down the days til people get to meet our Monsieur Inspector! You are so brilliant and so talented and I can’t wait to toast you with some giggly juice SOON!!”
The ‘Royal Setting’ Star Couldn’t Say Much About His New Character
In March, Jeannotte spoke to Pop Culture Planet about his new role. He said the gig was “Really fun to do.”
He explained that working on “The Way Home” was great, “Not just because of the costume and the era, which was great, but also it was a wonderfully warm set.”
Jeannette continued, “When you come into a show that’s been up and running for a while, you don’t know what it’ll be like to come in. Everybody’s dynamic is established and everything.”
It seems that Jeannette need not have worried for a moment. He shared, “This was one of the friendliest sets that I’ve been on. It was so lovely. Everybody was so welcoming.”
While Jeannotte couldn’t reveal much about his character, he did tease, “All I can say is that my character is intertwined somehow with the Landry family, but I can’t really say how.”
“I got to do some really lovely work. It’s romantic, it’s exciting, it’s dangerous. I’m super excited to see it,” the actor swooned.
Episode 2 of “The Way Home” season 4 is titled “Blinded by the Light.” Hallmark teases, “When Kat finds herself in a new era of Port Haven history, new mysteries unfold.”
In addition, “Meanwhile, Alice revisits a familiar time, and Del tries to help Elliot.”
It has not yet been revealed how many episodes of “The Way Home” will include Jeannotte in this final season. In fact, the role doesn’t even appear on his IMDb page yet.
However, based on what Jeannotte has said about his character and his experience on set, it sounds as if his fans have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming episodes.
