HGTV announced on Wednesday, May 6, that “Farmhouse Fixer” star Jonathan Knight is set to reboot a classic series.

Now, the New Kids on the Block star is sharing new secrets about his return.

Jonathan Knight HGTV Return

The network announced via a press release that Knight will be bringing back the hit franchise “Crashers.”

“Make way—we’re rebooting Crashers!” the network shared via Instagram. “That’s right, we’re bringing back the ambush-style renovation series where homeowners get a surprise, 72-hour transformation of a space of their choosing. Even better, it’s hosted by @nkotb bandmate and home reno expert Jonathan Knight!!!! Don’t miss the premiere, Monday, June 8 at 10 pm ET 🛠️🏡🤯 #Crashers”

The series will see Knight as he “ambushes folks anywhere from furniture boutiques to the hardware store or even the local paint shop to offer them a fast-paced reno with a catch.”

“Everyone has that one space that really needs work. But they have no time, no money and no idea where to start—and that’s where I come in,” the Grammy winner said. “I love a challenge and especially one that’s going to change someone’s life in 72 hours.”

Fans were immediately thrilled by he news, with many begging for more information.

“Can’t wait to see,” Kristina Crestin, Knight’s former “Farmhouse Fixer” co-star, commented on the network’s Instagram post, adding a red heart emoji.

“Will you be joining him?” one fan responded.

Knight quickly jumped in, saying, “She’s definitely gonna need to help out on one episode.”

What Is ‘Crashers’?

Discovery’s “Crashers” franchise, including shows like “House Crashers,” “Yard Crashers,” “Kitchen Crashers,” and “Bath Crashers,” — was a DIY Network hit of the early 2010s.

Similar to Knight’s upcoming 13-episode series, hosts would ambush unsuspecting shoppers and offer to renovate their homes on the spot.

In the premiere episode, which is set to debut on June 8, Knight will help California homeowners with a brand-new kitchen after meeting by chance at a hardware store.

“With the help of his team, Jon will swiftly demo the space down to the studs and dream up a new layout to better serve the large family’s needs. In just three days, he’ll deliver a completely renovated kitchen with optimized storage, brand-new appliances, functional banquette seating and a custom beverage station,” the press release explains.

Knight Was Spotted Filming

In February, nine months after HGTV announced the cancellation of “Farmhouse Fixer,” Knight hinted at a return to TV during an appearance on the “Vegas Revealed” podcast.

“Yeah, you know, it’s — maybe,” he said when asked about his HGTV future. “I can’t say much right now, but I will tease it that I did a pilot this past fall for HGTV and we’re…we’re working it out. Yeah.”

Weeks later, video surfaced on social media showing Knight and a woman seemingly shopping while filming.

“So much fun being extras for Jonathan’s new HGTV show 💖 He is seriously the nicest guy, fun to see how behind the scenes work!” the caption read at the time.

It’s safe to assume the pair were filming for the “Crashers” reboot.

“Crashers” premieres on HGTV Monday, June 8, at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
