HGTV star Scott McGillivray just sent his daughters back to school after a great summer together.
Fans have always enjoyed hearing about the real estate expert’s family. Now that the girls are entering their teen years, there will be plenty of new adventures and big “firsts” to share.
As Myah and Layla start a new year, Scott McGillivray shares the back-to-school pep talk her gives them on the first day.
Scott McGillivray Shares His Annual Back-to-School Pep Talk
Scott McGillivray and his wife, Sabrina, are the parents of two lovely daughters. Now, Myah, 14, and Layla, 12, are beginning a new school year and their parents couldn’t be prouder.
The HGTV star shared a photo of his girls in their school uniforms, ready and excited for the first day. Myah is a freshman this year, marking a special new chapter.
“Last year of middle school and first day of high school. ‘Be polite to your teachers and tell them you appreciate them, be the first one to talk to any new kids and invite them to join you for lunch and hug all the friends you haven’t seen all summer.’ That’s my first day back to school pep talk. Hope everyone had a great first day back,” the 48-year-old captioned a new Instagram post.

The HGTV Star Teases New Shows on the Way
This summer, HGTV viewers loved seeing Scott McGillivray compete with Brooke Hogan on “Rock the Block.” Though they ultimately didn’t win the competition, they walked away with a special friendship and plenty of new fans.
Thankfully, there is plenty of new content on the way.
“New shows coming your way on HGTV. Excited to get to work on a few new projects and we will be on the lookout for home owners and home buyers looking for some help. More to come,” McGillivray captioned an Instagram clip over the summer.
“It’s Scott McGillivray here and I have some exciting news!” the father of two addressed his audience. “That’s right, I am coming home to HGTV! I could not be more excited. We have some incredible new series. We’ve got design, construction, transformation, real estate investing, it’s all coming your way.”
In August, McGillivray updated fans and shared that they were searching for property owners in the Greater Toronto Area to appear on his shows. While it might be a while until the new shows are ready to premiere on the network, fans look forward to any additional updates he might share.
