Singer and former “American Idol” judge Jennifer Lopez was the headline act at a billionaire’s extravagant wedding in India this weekend. The star, commonly known as J.Lo, took part in a revealing performance as part of the Udaipur celebrations of Netra Mantena and Vamsi Gadiraju in a three-day event spanning from November 21 to November 23 at the Jagmandir Island Palace on Lake Pichola.
Jennifer Lopez Performs in a Leotard at Indian Wedding
Video shared on Instagram by Spanish-language magazine HOLA! USA shows the singer, who divorced actor Ben Affleck earlier this year, performing many of her hits on stage at the wedding. Some of the songs from her mini-concert included “Waiting for Tonight,” “On The Floor,” “Save Me Tonight,” “Get Right,” and “Play.”
Lopez changed outfits regularly throughout the performance, with many of the looks featuring revealing clothing as she took part in vigorous dance routines. This included a skintight semi-sheer black leather bodysuit and a plunging flesh-toned leotard.
She also toasted the happy couple, bringing them on stage while she wore a dazzling silver and crystal leotard. The singer could later be seen posing for photographs with guests from the wedding, including father of the bride Raj Mantena, in more traditional wedding attire.
The lavish ceremony reportedly cost millions of dollars. The bride’s father is the chairman and CEO of Ingenus Pharmaceuticals, while the groom is a co-founder of Superorder, a successful US-based software platform.
Other celebrities in attendance included Donald Trump Jr., Bettina Anderson, Sophie Choudry, Ram Charan, and Nora Fatehi. Lopez was paid $2 million for her appearance and performance at the wedding, according to Yahoo.
Lopez Admits One Regret That ‘Haunts’ Her
In October, Lopez also admitted that she has one regret that “haunts” her to this day. Speaking to Howard Stern on his SiriusXM show on October 15, she revealed that she turned down a role that went on to see the actor nominated for an Academy Award.
According to Lopez, she was offered the opportunity to portray the lead in the 2002 film “Unfaithful” from director Adrian Lyne. If she had taken the part, she would have played Constance Sumner opposite Richard Gere’s Edward Sumner. However, the role ultimately went to Diane Lane.
Lopez explained that she turned down the role in the film because “The script wasn’t good,” although director Lyne “made it great.”
She continued, “It’s funny. It haunts me. It haunts me a little bit. It’s like the one that I turned down that it was just like, ‘Why did you turn down working with Adrian Lyne? What were you thinking?’ I didn’t even know what the hell was going on in my mind at the time. Who knows what was going on with me at the time.”
