‘The Blind Side’ Actor Shares Emotional Update as Co-Star Battles for His Life in ICU: ‘One of My Best Friends’

“The Blind Star” actor Jae Head is sharing an emotional update after learning that his longtime friend and former co-star Quinton Aaron is hospitalized. As per TMZ, Aaron is currently battling for his life after being placed on life support following a sudden medical emergency.

Jae, 29, took to his Instagram to share a deeply heartbreaking yet hopeful message as Aaron bravely fights through in the ICU.


Jae Head Shares ICU Update Following Aaron’s Collapse

On January 26, he shared the update, admitting that the news of his best friend’s hospitalization had left him shaken.

“Yesterday I got a call that Quinton is in the hospital in the ICU because he passed out at home and is in pretty bad shape,” Jae wrote.

“Q is one of the nicest people I’ve ever had the opportunity to meet. He’s one of my best friends. Please keep him and his family in your thoughts and prayers.”

Head portrayed S.J. Tuohy in the 2009 film, while Aaron starred as Michael Oher. The post was accompanied by photos reflecting their bond over the years, from time on set to more recent moments together.

Fans quickly flooded the comments with messages of concern and support.

Quinton Aaron Placed on Life Support, Wife Confirms

The update followed confirmation from Aaron’s wife, Margarita, who told TMZ on January 26 that the actor had been placed on life support four days after he was first hospitalized.

She said Aaron lost feeling in his legs and collapsed while walking up the stairs at home. After being rushed to a doctor and undergoing a series of tests, physicians determined that he had a blood infection. Further evaluations remain ongoing.


Family Remains Hopeful as Recovery Continues

Even amid the seriousness of his condition, Margarita shared that medical teams are encouraged by Aaron’s progress and said he is not fully dependent on the breathing support.

Calling her husband a “fighter,” she added, “He’s showing a lot of improvement. We all have faith in God that he will walk out of here fully recovered.”

As Aaron remains under careful medical supervision, Head’s post has sparked a wave of messages from fans, who have come together to show support for the actor and his loved ones.
