‘The Blind Side’ Actor Takes Major Step Forward In Recovery Amid Drama Surrounding His Wife

Quinton Aaron, who is best known for portraying Michael Oher in the 2009 Oscar-nominated film “The Blind Side,” was hospitalized at the end of January following a fall at his home, and it was revealed soon after that he had a severe blood infection as well as a rare cyst on his spine.

The actor was placed on life support, but now his family is providing another update. And it’s a very good one.

According to TMZ, Aaron is “making huge progress on his road to recovering from a spinal stroke,” with the family sharing a statement saying that he is “awake, fully alert and successfully doing things like practicing writing, solving puzzles and even has feeling in his legs again.”

Quinton Aaron Does Not Want To See His Wife

During his hospital stay, Aaron’s wife, Margarita Aaron, has been by his side. But there has been some major drama surrounding her, with the family releasing a statement to US Weekly on Tuesday, Feb. 3, that they have “raised some suspicions about the legitimacy of Quinton and Margarita’s marriage to each other, as well as her legitimacy as a registered nurse. We have found some alarming details.”

Specifically, an insider who spoke with US Weekly says that Margarita is only “spiritually married’ to Aaron, with TMZ further reporting that she is “actually married to another man.”

The outlet further reports that Aaron is “interacting with his family and approved visitors, but he’s expressed multiple times, ‘I do NOT want to see Margaret at all.'”

Quinton Aaron’s Family Banned Margarita From His Hospital Room

When speaking with US Weekly at the beginning of February, an insider revealed Margarita is not allowed in his hospital room due to the family’s investigations.

“I’m OK with it, I’m at peace with this. Quinton and I pray a lot and believe in God and believe in a higher power. I can feel his presence telling me this will work itself out,” Margarita told the outlet regarding her ban.

This comes after the family said that they “believe Margarita isn’t who she claimed to be to us.” They also alleged that she was making medical decisions on Aaron’s behalf.

Margarita responded to these claims, saying that she and Quinton “got spiritually married,” TMZ reports. She added that she does not have power of attorney and has not made any medical decision on behalf of Quinton.
