“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” is back, and while Season 7 promises shifting friendships, explosive confrontations and plenty of icy drama, one new face has fans asking the same question after Bravo dropped the first trailer on August 6: Who is Ashley Quai?
Although Bravo has not confirmed whether Quai will appear as a full-time Housewife or a Friend Of this season, she’s already making waves after joining the cast during filming and appearing in the newly released trailer. Here’s everything to know about the RHOSLC newcomer.
Who Is Ashley Quai?
Ashley Quai is a Utah entrepreneur and former makeup artist who goes by her last name, Quai.
The 44-year-old married her husband in Las Vegas in September 2024 and has a 23-year-old daughter, Zariah, from a previous relationship. On social media, Quai has also described herself as a “biker babe,” frequently sharing photos from motorcycle rides, family vacations and life with her husband.
While she’s new to Bravo viewers, she’s no stranger to several members of the RHOSLC cast.
Ashley Quai Has Deep Connections to the RHOSLC Cast
Unlike many Housewives newcomers, Quai isn’t entering the group without relationships already in place.
She was previously sisters-in-law with Whitney Rose’s late best friend, Shari Quai, who died from cancer in 2023. Because of that connection, Quai already knew Rose before cameras began rolling for Season 7.
Reports have also indicated that she has existing relationships with several other women in the cast, helping explain why she seamlessly joined the group during filming.
Those friendships were on display earlier this year when Quai was spotted alongside returning cast members Whitney Rose, Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, Heather Gay, Angie Katsanevas, Bronwyn Newport and Britani Bateman during the group’s cast trip to San Francisco.
Photos from the getaway showed the women celebrating St. Patrick’s Day together before enjoying a night out. Quai later appeared alongside her husband and daughter in photos shared on her social media, giving fans another glimpse into her personal life outside of the show.
Will Ashley Quai Be a Full-Time Housewife?
That’s still the biggest mystery surrounding Season 7.
While Bravo has officially introduced Quai as part of the new season’s cast, her exact role has not been confirmed. Either way, her presence in the Season 7 trailer suggests she’ll play a meaningful role as the drama unfolds.
Season 7 also marks a significant transition for the franchise. Returning stars Lisa Barlow, Meredith Marks, Whitney Rose, Mary Cosby, Heather Gay, Angie Katsanevas and Bronwyn Newport are all back, while Britani Bateman returns after appearing as a Friend Of in Season 6.
Mary Cosby’s total involvement in the upcoming remains uncertain following the heartbreaking passing of her son, Robert Cosby Jr., earlier this year. She does appear throughout the trailer, but reports have indicated she was absent from at least part of the San Francisco cast trip while continuing to grieve.
With a fresh dynamic, new alliances and Ashley Quai stepping into the spotlight, RHOSLC Season 7 is already shaping up to be one of the franchise’s most talked-about seasons.
