“Love Island USA” winners Trinity Tatum and Bryce Alakai are navigating their relationship outside the villa while keeping their connection at the center of their new lives.
The Season 8 winners opened up about their relationship, sudden fame and future plans in an interview with Cosmopolitan. Since leaving Fiji, the couple has remained nearly inseparable as they adjust to a much different reality than the one they experienced while filming the dating show.
Trinity and Bryce developed their romance gradually on “Love Island USA,” beginning as friends before realizing their connection had become something more. Their relationship ultimately won over viewers, and the pair took home the season’s grand prize.
Trinity Tatum and Bryce Alakai Lean on Each Other After ‘Love Island USA’
Life outside the villa has brought a new challenge for Trinity and Bryce: dealing with public opinions about their relationship.
Bryce told Cosmopolitan that the couple’s close bond helps them tune out online commentary. He explained that they know how they feel about one another and do not allow outside opinions to change that.
Trinity echoed that approach, saying they support each other when either becomes overwhelmed by online attention. She also made it clear that disagreements within their relationship will remain private rather than becoming content for fans.
The couple has already spent significant time together since filming ended. According to Cosmopolitan, they traveled to Los Angeles before visiting Trinity’s hometown of Newport News, Virginia. They then planned to return to Los Angeles for the “Love Island USA” reunion.
Their time together could continue as Bryce focuses on his music career. He is embarking on a tour that runs through Dec. 12, and Trinity said she plans to travel alongside him. Bryce described the opportunity as a chance to pursue the music career he has long wanted after years of trying to break through.

The ‘Love Island USA’ Couple Looks Toward Their Future
Trinity also has career plans of her own. Before “Love Island USA,” she worked in hair and makeup, and she told Cosmopolitan she remains interested in exploring beauty professionally. She said she particularly enjoys makeup and embracing her feminine style.
For now, however, the couple appears focused on enjoying their relationship without rushing into every decision about their future.
They even joked about what a potential home together could eventually look like. Bryce said he would want a music studio, and a bidet, while Trinity suggested adding a minibar.
The pair also praised the qualities they admire in one another. Bryce highlighted Trinity’s willingness to stand up for her beliefs, while Trinity pointed to Bryce’s openness about his emotions and his willingness to communicate how he feels.
Their romance may have started in an unconventional setting, but Bryce acknowledged just how unlikely it would have been for their paths to cross otherwise. Looking back at their time on “Love Island USA,” he said he never expected the experience to lead him to someone he would fall in love with.
