While some viewers think Katie is simply being a protective mother, others believe she’s directing her anger at the wrong woman entirely. Katie Confronts Dylan Over Her Kiss With Will
“The Bold and the Beautiful” fans recently watched Katie come down pretty hard on Dylan after learning about her kiss with Will.
The kiss came after Will’s relationship with Electra had already ended, but that didn’t stop Katie from questioning Dylan and making her feelings about the situation known.
After the official “The Bold and the Beautiful” Instagram account posted a clip of the confrontation with the caption, “Mama knows best,” fans quickly weighed in on whether Katie was protecting her son or simply interfering in his love life.
“Oh, Katie. Don’t be a Brooke about this!” one fan joked.
Another viewer thought Katie had crossed a line by inserting herself into her son’s romantic life.
“I think that Katie is overstepping. It’s not her job to interfere in his relationships,” the fan argued, adding that because Electra was the one who ended things with Will, they were “all for him and Dylan getting together.”
The viewer also suggested that Katie should be happy Will has someone helping him through the breakup rather than giving Dylan a hard time.
‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ Fans Think Katie Is Going After the Wrong Woman
Many “B&B” fans weren’t necessarily upset that Katie wanted to protect her son. Instead, they questioned why she was directing so much anger toward Dylan rather than Electra.
“I’m not happy with this direction. Katie should be feeling this way with Electra, not Dylan,” one fan argued.
Another viewer agreed, writing, “Katie going off on Dylan but not Electra… that’s not right, girl.”
Some fans were even more direct about which woman they wanted Will to choose.
“Electra is a pushover brat. Dylan is better for Will,” one viewer commented.

Several fans were particularly frustrated that Katie hadn’t shown the same level of anger toward Electra or the Forrester family.

Another fan argued that Katie should be confronting Electra for how she has treated Will rather than attacking Dylan. The viewer was especially frustrated by watching Katie seek forgiveness from the Forresters while Will continued apologizing to Electra.
One fan similarly questioned the direction of the storyline, arguing that Katie should be upset with Electra for failing to defend Will against the Forresters.
“No no no!!! Please! What are the writers doing???” the viewer wrote, adding that Katie should be “embracing Dylan” instead.
Others pointed out one particularly important detail: Electra was the one who ended her relationship with Will.

Another questioned why Katie would even want her son to reunite with someone who has repeatedly pushed him away.

Other ‘B&B’ Fans Say Katie Has Every Reason to Distrust Dylan
However, not everyone thought Katie was being unfair.
Some “B&B” fans believe the protective mother may have good reason to question Dylan’s intentions, especially considering how quickly she became interested in Will after his breakup.
“I don’t blame Katie for not trusting Dylan,” one fan wrote, arguing that Dylan took advantage of Will when he was vulnerable and that a mother would naturally be suspicious of someone who did that.
Another viewer was considerably more skeptical about Dylan’s motives.
The fan pointed to Dylan’s reaction to seeing photos of the Spencer home and yacht, interpreting her fascination with the family’s lavish lifestyle as a potential red flag. The viewer went so far as to call Dylan a “con artist” and “gold digger” who was interested in the Spencer money and name.
“Katie got every right. Dylan is no good,” another fan declared.
One viewer was equally happy to see Katie confront Dylan and predicted that if Dylan really is interested in Will because of the Spencer fortune, she could eventually have a much bigger problem on her hands.
“I’m glad Katie set Dylan straight!! Dylan sees dollar signs with Will,” the fan wrote, adding that those dollar signs ultimately lead back to Will’s father, Bill Spencer, and predicting that Katie won’t make things easy for Dylan.
Whether Katie is unfairly judging Dylan or simply noticing warning signs her son hasn’t seen yet remains to be seen. However, with Electra seemingly out of the picture and Dylan growing closer to Will, history indicates that Katie won’t be staying out of her son’s love life anytime soon.
