Semi-Finals Performance on ‘The Voice’
Lucas said it would be incredible to be the one member to represent Team Legend in the finale. John said he has a really good shot of being in the finale. For this performance, he is singing “Maybe I’m Amazed” by Paul McCartney. Lucas feels this is a way to say thank you to his supporters who helped him get her.
For his performance, I am always amazed when Lucas sings. His voice is so solid and strong. This was a good song choice for him. He hits those big, high notes along the way. Lucas ended the night with a strong performance.
For the coaches, Adam said he loved how he brought up those big moments. There is something about his voice that is so captivating. Kelly said she thinks he would crush in a stadium performance. He is a great artist overall. John said he is the whole package. He has great taste in songwriting.
Lucas’ Blind Audition on ‘The Voice’
It all started here. Lucas was the first blind audition to air on “The Voice” season 29. Lucas seems to be a fan of John Legend, as he is a pianist too. For his audition, he sang “Bennie and the Jets” by Elton John. Lucas was playing the piano for this one. He got Adam to turn quickly, then John joined him a little later. He does sound very good and has some good range. Lucas has a strong stage presence.
For the coaches, Adam said he was blown away by how different he was. There has never been a Lucas, and that makes him want to fight for him. Kelly said she thinks he’ll go far. John is dropping name bombs. He said Lucas came out here playing the piano, but his vocals almost sound like Adam Levine. Of course, Lucas chose to join Team Legend.
