Reba McEntire’s Fiancé Says He Treated Her to the ‘Greatest Valentine’s Meal on the Planet’

Reba McEntire’s Valentine’s Day was decidedly not fancy, and that’s just the way she likes it. On February 14, 2026, the country superstar and coach on “The Voice” headed to her favorite Valentine’s spot with her fiancé, actor Rex Linn.

McEntire, 70, didn’t need an expensive dinner, luxury trip, or sparkling diamonds to make her heart flutter. Rather, the “Fancy” singer shared on Instagram that she was happy as a clam to head with Linn, 69, for lunch at a Sonic drive-thru just north of Los Angeles.

Rex Linn Divulged His Entire Valentine’s Menu With Reba McEntire

Linn, who co-stars with McEntire on her NBC sitcom “Happy’s Place,” drove McEntire to their annual Valentine’s Day lunch spot while she filmed him declaring, “We are on our way to the greatest Valentine’s meal on the planet — Sonic.”

“Sonic drive-in?” McEntire could be heard asking. “How many years have we been doing that?”

Linn replied, “This will be year number six,” and McEntire said, “Love it, love it, love it.” He did later correct himself, noting that it was actually their fifth year visiting Sonic for Valentine’s.

“Not only is it not that pricey,” Linn explained as he drove, “but it’s the best food ever. We’re gonna have a picture for everybody in a little bit. But can you imagine? We get a foot-long (hot dog) with cheese and chili and jalapenos. Tator tots. A Sonic burger. And whatever special they’ve got. And, like, a float.”

“All kinds of things are gonna happen in the cabin of this vehicle,” Linn joked. “It will be the greatest Valentine’s dinner of all time.”

After Linn listed out their menu must-haves, McEntire told fans in her video that they’d check back in “exactly” 25 minutes. She then added footage of them pulling up to the Sonic. Before Linn ordered at the drive-thru, he quipped that he was feeling “a little bit emotional.”

McEntire then added photos of her and Linn eating in their car, with her looking thrilled as she pointed to her red-colored beverage — likely Sonic’s popular Cherry Limeade.

“I ventured away from my regular order of a #1 number cheeseburger, no onions, to the newly added Smashburger,” McEntire wrote in the caption. “While it was great, I’m still partial to Rex’s homemade one! 😉 Rex had the foot-long cheese coney with jalapeños. And of course, we had tots! We finished with an incredible mouth-watering chocolate peanut butter shake. Amazing!”

The hitmaker continued, “Happy Valentine’s Day to each and every one of you! Now go out and have a Sonic Valentine’s Day experience!! It will change your life and make your pocketbook happy!😃”

McEntire, 70, signed her darling note from “The Tots.” She has previously mentioned in media interviews that her nickname for Linn is “Sugar Tot” and his nickname for her is “Tater Tot.”
