Iconic rapper Snoop Dogg shared a throwback photo on Instagram on Monday, August 31. In the post, the beloved “The Voice” coach is posing with the late rapper Tupac Shakur. The old photo shows Snoop sporting a very different hairstyle with long hair, making him almost unrecognizable!

In the photo, Snoop, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., has long hair, swept up at the ends. He is dressed in a suit and tie, and completed his look with a top hat. He is standing next to 2Pac, who appears to be showing off his rings. The rappers were friends and collaborators. Both signed to Death Row Records, thjey worked on the tracks “Wanted Dead or Alive” and “2 of Amerikaz Most Wanted.”
The relationship between Snoop and 2Pac will be on display in Universal Pictures biographical film, titled “Snoop.” The film is set for release on August 6, 2027, and there is a lot of excitement surrounding it. The cast includes Camron Jones as 2Pac, Jonathan Daviss as Snoop, Myles Bullock as Dr. Dre, and Lauren London as Beverly Tate.
“Snoop Dogg’s life and legacy make him one of the most exciting and influential icons in popular culture,” Donna Langley said, Variety reports. “We met with Snoop shortly after he acquired Death Row Records and had the opportunity to hear his story in his own words. We are humbled to be able to create the lasting document of this singular artist.”
Craig Brewer will direct the film, and Deadline reports that it will be produced in collaboration with Imagine Entertainment’s Brian Grazer, Snoop Dogg, and Death Row Pictures President Sara Ramaker.

The “Drop It Like It’s Hot” rapper set his location on the Instagram post to Universal Studios Hollywood. In the caption, he wrote “Sly.” You can see his new look here.

The rapper has given rare glimpses into his personal life on social media and in interviews, and he has embraced his new role as a grandfather. On August 2, Snoop and his longtime wife, Shante Broadus, attended the “PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie” Global Premiere and Family Day at Paramount Pictures Studios in Los Angeles, California, with their beautiful family, including their grandchildren.
In a 2021 interview with GQ, Snoop discussed how he made his wife his manager and the impact it had. “Well, making my wife my manager was very key, because that’s my backbone. That’s my heart and my soul, that’s the one that I love the most, that I trust the most,” he said.
He continued, “That’s our problem as Black men sometimes: We get so caught up in our business that we forget to let our spouse in the business. Then when something happens to us, in comes some man or some company taking it from this lady who has no understanding of business and how to hold on. But in the other world, they teach their whole family this (expletive).”
