How to Vote for ‘The Voice’ Season 29 Finale

It seemed like a quick sprint to the finish line, but the two-night finale for “The Voice” season 29 kicks off tonight on NBC. The winner is about to be chosen in this highly anticipated season, “The Voice: Battle of Champions.” The coaches — Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and John Legend — have picked their final three artists for the semi-final performances tonight on “The Voice” 2026.

If you want your favorite artist to be named the winner of “The Voice” season 29, then you have to vote, right? NBC is definitely switching things up this season, so find out the details on how to vote for “The Voice” season 29 finale below in our “The Voice” spoilers.

When Does ‘The Voice’ 2025 Voting Begin and End?

For the first time in “The Voice” history, America won’t have a say in who wins this season. So far, the coaches have made all the decisions. Typically, when the live shows start, America starts voting for its favorites.

However, there are no live shows for season 29. All of this season was pre-taped, and voting was done by an in-studio audience. That in-studio audience will be comprised of former Voice artists and super fans of the show.

This group will vote for their favorite artists in real-time, both for tonight’s show and tomorrow night’s episode. At the end of each episode, Carson Daly will reveal the results, with four artists moving on to the Voice Finale tomorrow night and then the winner being crowned tomorrow night.

Coaches’ Thoughts on Voting Change

This is a huge change for the show. America doesn’t have a say. It’s all based on the people in the studio audience.

Kelly Clarkson told NBC Insider, “It’s in-house voting, it’s live voting.” She went on to say this in-person voting, compared to watching televised performances, “is going to change everything.”

John Legend added, “We’ve never seen it before. It’ll be like a little scientific experiment … because it’ll be very different from America voting.”

Who Is Performing Tonight on ‘The Voice’ Season 29?

For tonight’s episode, we will see the Top 9 artists take the stage. Each coach has worked their way down to three artists each after the Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, and Knockouts.

This will be a huge night, as these artists will be fighting their fellow teammates for a spot in the final night of the Voice Finale. Only four artists will perform tomorrow night, and it’s not the top four vote-getters either.

One artist from Team Adam, one artist from Team Legend, and two artists from Team Kelly will be performing tomorrow night. Kelly won the All-Star Showdown last week, so she got an extra artist in the finale.

So, what do you think of this change in the voting and America not having a say in picking “The Voice” season 29 winner?

  1. I will always love The Voice, but I feel like we were cheated this season. It was very rushed & now it will be over tomorrow without any fan input. Don’t get me, being voted for by your peers is cool, but that’s not what we did for 28 seasons…. Please bring the old format back…

  3. Changes are interesting, but the fact that only the live audience gets to choose this year’s winner is a big disappointment.

  4. Makes me wonder about who is in the audience. Are they a reflection of all Americans, mostly young,or people that prefer one genre.I think the home audience would be more diversified and also more fun to participate in.

  5. [ have watched all 29 seasons but this season barely. There was no point!! It was positively the worst season ever both with the judges especially since Adam Levine was one!! And you didn’t allow live voting which has always been the best part!! Improvements need to be made for next season or no one will be watching! Just a terrible meaningless stinko season thanks to terrible decisions by the producers and directors!!

  6. When Jordan Smith was voted AGAINST by Celo last week, I knew this season was a loser BECAUSE IT CAME OFF AS APPEARING “FIXED”! (NO ONE CAN BEAT JORDON WHEN HE SINGS CANDELEER – NO ONE!!!) And then not letting YOUR FAITHFUL VIEWERS, YOUR PUBLIC who have supported your show all these years and kept it on the air being insulted by not being allowed to vote and instead reduce the decision to select the winner to a handful of “in house votes” only? AGAIN APPEARS “FIXED” – more like a popularity contest instead of a talent contest.
I have been a faithful watcher and follower of The Voice since Season One – in fact, basically worked my schedule around it although I questioned if it would be any good after the “Cowboy” left. Tonight is the last time I will be watching the show. I’m not going to even watch the final show tomorrow because it is meaningless. I’m not wasting any more of my precious time on something that is no longer worth it. Something has happened and a lot has been lost due to whomever it is making such foolish, poor decisions. The talent is still incredible, and they deserve so much more than what they were given this season – which is extremely sad. I WILL NOT BE A BIT SURPRISED IF THIS IS THE DIMISE OF THE VOICE. (PS – I’m considering posting this on LinkedIn where I have over 9,700 contacts, NextDoor – over 16,000 and Facebook – almost 5,000)

  7. This really sucks! I have always enjoyed watching and voting! Not fair to those of us out here in the world who want to have a say! This takes away a lot and makes me wonder if I should just stop watching future shows 🙁 Why bother? This is a huge insult!!

  8. Do NOT like the way the show has gone this season! The changes are horrible, in my opinion! I really wish they would go back to more of the “old school” format, when they showed more of the contestants lives, family, and interactions with coaches! Go back to the way it was in the first few seasons!

  9. 1) Go back to the way the show has been doing things pretty steady for the last 28 years.
    2) Have Commissioner Gordan turn on the Blake signal! Come back Blake Shelton!! Save The Voice!
    3) How about some fresh faces for judges next season who would fit in perfectly with Blake?
    4) Love the judges, but the Season 29 format was TERRIBLE!!
