Truely Brown Turns 16 as New Family Update Offers Insight Into Her Relationship With Kody Brown

Truely Brown is the youngest of Kody Brown and Christine Brown Woolley’s six children. Her birth was featured on the very first season of TLC’s “Sister Wives.” Now, Truely is reaching new milestones, hitting the open road after just turning 16 in April 2026.

Mykelti Brown Padron, one of Truely’s older sisters, recently shared an update on the 16-year-old with fans. Read on to discover what Mykelti shared in her family update and the insights she provided on Truely’s relationship with their father, Kody Brown.

Mykelti Brown Padron Reveals What Life Looks Like for Truely Brown at 16

In a recent YouTube live with Shelise Ann Sola, the host of the podcast “Cults to Consciousness,” Mykelti and her husband, Tony Padron, gave “Sister Wives” fans some insight into what life looks like for 16-year-old Truely Brown.

On the live, one fan asked, “How is Truely doing?” Mykelti quickly responded, sharing that, “Truely is doing great. She’s really thriving very well. She just turned 16, so she can drive!”

Tony quickly interjected, saying, “Scary!” Mykelti defended her little sister, saying, “Not really. She’s actually a very good driver.”

Why Truely Brown’s Childhood Looks Different From Her Older Siblings

The “Sister Wives” star then went on to explain, “So, Truely is six years younger than my other sibling, Ysabel, from my mom. So, Truely is in a sense kind of raised almost like a single child.”

Mykelti added, “Truely has been the only one at home with my mom and David. So, she has almost this like different experience than any of my siblings can understand at all. And I think she likes it a lot. She misses having like what I had with the bajillion siblings, but she’s really thriving.”

As “Sister Wives” viewers will remember, Christine Brown Woolley left Kody Brown in November 2021 after more than 25 years together. Truely was just 11 years old at the time. Christine then married David Woolley in October 2023, when Truely was 13.

While David has eight children of his own, Truely is the only child between Christine and David who is still underage and living at home. This creates a unique upbringing compared to the experiences of her 17 Brown siblings.

Mykelti went on to discuss how beneficial this structure is for Truely, saying, “She gets all the attention she needs. She gets all the structure she needs.”

Tony added, “And she has David… which means a lot.”

Mykelti Brown Padron Opens Up About Truely Brown’s Relationship With Kody Brown

Naturally, this led to a discussion of Truely’s relationship with Kody, with one fan asking, “Does Kody see Truely?”

Mykelti candidly answered the question, saying, “I don’t know, if I’m being honest.” She added, “I know the last time I spoke with Truely about it, they didn’t talk very often. But they had seen each other a couple of times. I don’t know how frequently. I don’t know if my mom makes the trip and drops Truely off in Flagstaff… I’ve just never asked. I’ve never wanted to pry unless they want to give me the information.”

Mykelti concluded her statement, sharing, “But I don’t think he sees her as often as he should see her.”

The host then asked Mykelti where Truely fits in the lineup among all of Kody’s 18 children. Mykelti clarified that Truely is the third-youngest Brown sibling, with Kody and Robyn’s two children, Solomon (14) and Ariella (10), following behind in the lineup.

As Truely Brown enters a new chapter at 16, it appears she is settling into a life that looks very different from the one many “Sister Wives” fans watched during her early years. While questions remain about her relationship with Kody Brown, Mykelti’s update suggests Truely is thriving in the close-knit home she shares with her mom and stepdad.
