On Friday, Sept. 4, 2026, Apple TV dropped the final episode of “Silo” Season 3. It brought an epic conclusion, transporting us inside Silo 1 and showing just how removing someone’s memory can change everything about a person. The end left on a major cliffhanger, as Daniel — who now goes by the name of Troy — learned the name of the woman he keeps seeing when he’s in cryo.
Apple TV decided not to leave us questioning what would come next for too long. Just hours after the release of the new episode, the streamer revealed the teaser and release date for the fourth and final season.
When Will ‘Silo’ Season 4 Premiere?
Apple TVApple TV shares that “Silo” Season 4 will premiere on July 9, 2027. That’s around a year after the release of the third season, give or take a few days, and it marks the beginning of the end. When the show was renewed for the fourth season, it came with the caveat that it would be the end.
This is no shade on the streaming viewing figures. Instead, everyone agrees that a show like this needs to come to a complete close, rather than be at risk of an abrupt cancellation. There’s also a clear end in sight, both in terms of the current story and the books by Hugh Howey that the series is based on.
With the early renewal, though, it meant that Graham Yost and the team could get to work on the fourth season quickly. “Silo” Season 4 wrapped filming earlier this year, and that means Apple TV can confidently set the premiere date.
What to Expect During the Final Season of ‘Silo’
The third season ended with some answers to major questions. The first was about the events that happened to the members of Silo 17. No, they weren’t killed by the poison in the air. There is no poison in the air. Instead, Daniel ordered the poisoning and shooting of everyone outside and in the corridor to the outside, making sure there could be no contact with another silo.
Victor attempted to release the safeguard in Silo 18, but it failed thanks to Camille’s deception and Shirley and Knox managing to cap the pipe. Now, Daniel needs to figure out what to do with that silo, but he has another issue to deal with. Before taking his own life, Victor created a video for Daniel, sharing that the woman that he keeps dreaming of is called Helen Drew.
That Helen is in Silo 18 in the “Before Times.” That’s where she was on the tour while Daniel was at Silo 1 when the bomb dropped. The teaser for “Silo” Season 4 makes it clear that we’ll see some of her life, and it may help to connect her to someone in the present day. We’ll also see Juliette and Daniel come face-to-face, as Juliette and the rest of Silo 18 decide to take the fight to Silo 1.
In fact, the whole of Silo 18 is going to learn the truth about the other silos. It’s time for them to take back some control, although it could mean a risk of death if some are in that pipe with the rushing water.
