The relationship between Bravo regulars Ariana Biermann and Hudson McLeroy has certainly had its ups and downs over the years. Recent revelations have confirmed that the pair are now no longer together, with Biermann confirming that the pair are not currently in a relationship and that she is single
“I’m a single girl,” she said. “He will always be like a dear friend and a close person in my life. There will always be love there.”
The two “Next Gen NYC” stars have been in a longtime relationship, having first met when they were just 14 years old. They subsequently had an extensive on-again, off-again romance that has seen them move from Atlanta to New York City.
A breakup in 2025 seemed to be the final nail in the coffin for the couple, but it proved not quite to be the end for the two reality television stars. Here’s a look at how the complicated relationship has unfolded over the years.
Ariana Biermann Met Hudson McLeroy When She Was 14
Ariana has her older sister Brielle Biermann to thank for introducing her to Hudson.
Biermann first met McLeroy as a teenager through her sister Brielle. The two siblings were at a beach in Florida and Brielle spotted McLeroy and got his social media information before passing it along to her sister.
They then went on a few dates and learned that they had lived relatively close to each other as young children. In October 2016, the pair were in a relationship and attended homecoming together.

However, the relationship proved difficult to maintain given their young ages and the fact that they were still living with their parents. Biermann has since argued that this breakup was useful for them both, as it allowed them to experience life and date other people rather than spending all of their teenage years together.
Just a few years later, the pair started dating again and made their relationship official. In 2022, they were posting social media images showing that they were a couple and Biermann described McLeroy as the “love of my life” in 2023.
The following year, the two moved to New York City together and the relationship then went on to be a major storyline in “Next Gen NYC.” Biermann and McLeroy lived together in a rented SoHo apartment that cost $10,000 a month.
Ariana Biermann Gave Hudson a Marriage Deadline
While living together in New York City, Biermann explained to McLeroy that she had a rule in place that effectively set a deadline for the couple to get married. She believed that five years was enough time to decide whether two people were serious about each other.
She made it clear that if he didn’t propose to her within five years of their relationship starting, then she would have to reconsider whether they should be together.
The couple, though, didn’t reach this deadline, with Biermann telling her social media followers in October 2025 that the relationship was over.
However, Ariana and Hudson never reached that deadline.

Ariana stunned fans in October 2025 when she announced that the relationship was over.
Ariana said they had mutually decided to “go our separate ways” and insisted they still had considerable love and respect for one another.
After the split, Biermann revealed that she intended to remain in New York CIty and continue to support herself with the career she has built in the area.
As is common with their relationship, this was far from the end for the two of them. By Spring of 2026, the pair began teasing fans that they were once again dating, with suggestions that they had rekindled their romance.
There was no official confirmation that they were back together, although the relationship was featured heavily in the second season of “Next Gen NYC” and they could be seen kissing at the premiere party.
Ariana Biermann Says She’s Single Again
This reconciliation didn’t work out as planned, though, with Biermann confirming in August of this year that she was single again.
She has also opened up about a blossoming friendship with “Next Gen NYC” co-star Liam Obergfoll, whilst restating that she is still single.
“Honestly, he checked off every single box,” Biermann told the outlet. “After the first time I ever met [Liam], we just kind of hit it off immediately. We laugh like no other together, and we just always have such a great time.”
