In a recent interview on “The Viall Files,” newcomer Charley Manley shared her thoughts on Craig Conover, the newly single “Southern Charm” star who, according to the season 11 trailer, finds himself in a twisted love triangle between her and co-star Salley Carson.

When asked what Manley’s “impressions of Craig” were coming into the show, she shared that she did not watch “Southern Charm” previously, but did watch his brief appearances on “Summer House” while he dated Paige DeSorbo. It certainly helped her establish her own opinions about him when they met.

She added, “I knew vaguely of the ins and outs of what was put on television of him and his last relationship. I guess getting to know him, like, around Charleston, he seemed like a really nice, friendly guy.”

“Whenever I first started hanging out with the group, I do feel like the two of us gravitated towards each other. I think that we have a lot in common. Our personalities kind of matched when we were together,” she said.

Manley was later asked if she even had an opinion on Conover not defending DeSorbo when rumors ran rampant that she was allegedly cheating on him when the pair split in December 2024. Instead of claiming the rumors as false to clear her name, Conover decided to stay silent.

Manley appeared to take Conover’s side in the whole situation, telling host Nick Viall, “I was obviously trying to form my own opinions on Craig outside of his breakup.” She then added that that’s how she and Conover “bonded” after she too navigated a breakup after a nearly four-year relationship.

“In terms of him having to speak about his ex, or defend his ex after their breakup, I definitely understood where he was coming from because once I was broken up with my ex, I’m done,” she shared.

Manley Shares How She Became Friends With the Cast

In her conversation on “The Viall Files,” Manley shared how she found herself mingling with the “Southern Charm” crew. Having been raised in South Carolina, she is a true Southern belle. “I’ve been in Charleston almost six years now… I grew up in and around Charleston,” she shared with the hosts.

Manley went on to admit that Charleston is such a small city that bumping into familiar faces, including the show’s reality stars, is almost inevitable. In fact, she became extremely close with Salley Carson, which is how she found herself mingling with the “Southern Charm” crew.

However, as fans have witnessed in the trailer, Manley and Carson have a friendship fallout over Conover. Addressing this, she explained, “It’s not crumbling, I would say, it’s just friends fight, they do … We became very close, very fast. I feel like I see her as more of like a sister, and we fight like sisters for sure.”

What Does Manley Do For a Living?

As for what Manley does for a living, for the past three years, she has been working as a gallery associate at Meyer Vogl Gallery in the downtown Charleston area. In her role, she curates art exhibitions and is responsible for promoting events in the gallery.

Manley has shared some of what her job entails on Instagram. In May, she posted a video putting up artwork for an upcoming show she called her “Favorite show yet.”

Taking a peek at her social media, Manley also works as an influencer. Many of her Instagram photos see her modeling for different brands and showcasing her fashion looks on the streets of downtown Charleston.
